Publishers Clearing House (PCH), headquartered in Jericho, NY and with offices in NYC, is looking for a Product Manager to manage and oversee the development of our mobile app products as well as their contribution to our business. You will build new products and explore the feasibility of increasing the revenue and profitability while working with other stakeholders.

 

YOU ARE:

As a Product Manager, you are well-versed in the full scope of the mobile app ecosystem (iOS, Android, Unity) as well as the development process. You are a leader, team player, adept at managing relationships, collaborating and influencing across a variety of organizational functions. You are a strategist who will translate the company’s high-level vision and goals into actionable tasks including building business cases, roadmaps, seeking consensus and coordinating product schedules with your design and engineering teammates. 

 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITY SNAPSHOT:

  • Create high-performing mobile apps and consumer facing products that allows us to win in the marketplace. 
  • Serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product lines, supporting the sales, tech channel and key customers and communicating with all areas of the Company.  
  • Develop business cases and competitive analyses that support the product direction and the GTM team to reliably achieve our business objectives. 
  • Develop and maintain roadmaps for your products that illustrate our vision and enable interlock and support across the organization while also ensuring that roadmaps and user stories for current and future products based on the market’s problems. 
  • Manage multiple product life cycles from sunsetting legacy products to prototyping and testing new features/products and ideas. 
  • Act as a hands-on Project Manager for one or more apps which includes organizing and facilitating release and sprint planning sessions, daily stand-up meetings, sprint demos, retrospectives, story grooming sessions and any other Scrum related meetings, as well as updating and maintaining in the defined tool. 
  • Guide QA on testing of various APPs and overseeing their test plans 

 

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT YOU:

  • Bachelors Degree in a related field 
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on Project or Product Management 
  • Agile SCRUM and conventional project management
  • Previous experience with public facing Mobile Apps on iOS or Android
  • Knowledge of Mobile Apps and the full lifecycle of their development and deployment (iOS, Android, Unity)
  • Skilled with the following tools: Version One, Microsoft Office
  • Experience of working in an Agile development environment, e.g. Scrum or Kanban
  • Solid understanding of web development environments, ability to understand the implications of issues within the mobile app ecosystem
  • Understand the basic fundamentals of iterative development
  • Strong ability and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment and increasing transparency
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to speak knowledgeably with members of both the business and development teams
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal, relationship and presentation skills
  • Desire to take ownership, be creative with problem solving, and proactively secure the objectives of the business
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities and navigate through the technical and/or business constraints around a problem in order to drive towards a solution
  • Ability to garner trust from their team, other groups and business units
  • Strong goals setting and task prioritization abilities
  • Excellent team player and team builder
