Job Description VP Technical Product Management - Commercial Real Estate (CRE) - Commercial Bank
J.P. Morgan Chase is seeking a talented product leader with a strong technical background for the position of VP Technical Product Management Commercial Real Estate Digital. The role will have responsibility for helping shape and deliver the technical foundation for a new digital platform being used to deliver apps and services to customers across the Commercial Bank. This role requires a combination of strategic, system level thinking combined with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and work directly with engineering teams to help build and operate the features and services that you have defined. Position will require individuals with exceptional drive, vision, energy. ability to see beyond the obvious and a passion for developer experiences .
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team dedicated to building the platform technology foundations and creating a world-class developer experience with the focus on the the platform as a product
  • Structure and lead the design and development of system capabilities that empower Commercial Real Estate users and their customers, aligning with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and cross-functional partners to solve for business goals using technology
  • Communicate with development teams in technical detail, understand the implications of architectural choices, and make trade-offs in complexity, depth or timelines
  • Focus on evaluating and documenting requirements from internal and partner development teams, scoping technical solutions, identifying risks, and clearly communicating goals and milestones to business stakeholders globally
  • Identify opportunities for technical partnerships, consumption of emerging technologies
  • Managing across a matrixed organization with key dependencies from partners and functions outside of the organizational hierarchy and line of business.
  • Become the key point of contact and evangelist for the platform developer experience across the firm


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical roles building large scale enterprise product/systems or products at scale
  • High degree of empathy towards developer as end-users and the ability to dig deeper into code
  • Strong technical background including experience working with developer-focused API services and SDKs
  • Proven end-to-end problem-solving skills with the ability to solve large, complex business problems, obtain consensus and drive technology transformation.
  • Data-driven decision making and quantitative analysis skills
  • Experience moving technical or engineering programs and products from inception to delivery and an ability to articulate the impact
  • Ability to interact with colleagues at all levels, work through influence across functional boundaries to achieve goals without direct control over resources.
  • Experience in software firms, financial institutions, building products and leading cross functional launch initiatives is preferable
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong relationship building across the organization
  • Passion for building something new, working across boundaries to drive change and helping others succeed.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
