Staff Technical Product Manager
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is currently seeking a Staff Technical Product Manager to join our exciting and fast-paced Shopping Experiences team in Bellevue, WA; Boston, MA; Dania Beach, FL; or Minneapolis MN. In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for ideating and launching products which drive Chewy healthcare growth and integrating these products and services into the shopping experience.
This role requires deep product management expertise, strong program management skills, excellent executive communication, and strong business judgment. You will become the subject matter expert in pet health. In doing so, you will identify opportunities to help customers discover Chewy healthcare offerings at the right moments in the shopping journey. This entails driving the roadmap for this highly strategic space, defining and implementing exceptional new end-to-end customer experience, identifying interdependencies between concurrent projects to prevent downstream problems, managing cross-functional technology integrations at the program level, and driving alignment at the senior leadership level.

What You’ll Do:
- Own the growth of Chewy healthcare products and services via integration into the Chewy Shopping experience
- Manage Chewy healthcare programs across a cross-functional group of stakeholders and deliver against goals
- Analyze customer needs across teams and projects, identifying commonalities and working with engineers to build tools that meet these common needs and use cases
- Manage prioritization and trade-offs for speed to market, performance, and features
- Review and report on progress for initiatives/projects, managing project risks - including the development of contingency plans
- Create program goals and related metrics, track progress, and manage through obstacles to achieve your objectives
- Independently influence VPs and C-Suite leaders to achieve business outcomes; regularly interact with VP level and present to C-Suite
- Monitor performance of your product(s) and measure impact of product enhancements; communicate impact clearly across the organization and use to drive prioritization
- Exhibit a strong sense of ownership, bias for action, and superior communication skills; be willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
What You’ll Need:
- 7+ years of Technical Product Management or Project Management experience; E-commerce experience preferred
- Demonstrated track record of full product development lifecycle ownership: vision setting, ideation, writing comprehensive BRDs, MVP and test-and-learn roadmap, product launch, goal ownership
- Experience with customer behavior tools like A/B testing, user-research, and VOC (voice of the customer)
- Extraordinary analytical, critical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills, with the ability to deal with ambiguity and cut through complexity, turning high-level business requirements and opportunities into specific projects
- Strong product management skills with demonstrated complex product launches, high attention to detail and situational fluency, ability to influence and motivate others, and perseverance to handle challenging business situations and make trade-offs at all levels of management
- Experience working in an agile software development environment leveraging Scrum; track record of building productive relationships with engineering leadership
- Exceptional business and financial acumen with ability to ask the right questions and balance thinking big with simple solutions and pragmatic execution
- Experience developing short and long-term product strategy, defining detailed product requirements, prioritizing product road-map, building and leading cross-functional teams, and working at a fast pace to deliver results
- The ability to direct financial and data modelers, including performing model quality control and triangulation of modeling assumptions
- Executive verbal and written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
- Needs to be highly effective in building outstanding customer journeys and associated CX by navigating use cases from ecommerce, supply chain, logistics, direct marketing, multi-channel partnerships, etc.
- Comfort working with large and complex data sets and presenting findings to senior leadership in a concise and actionable manner
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree, MBA or equivalent preferred
- Position may require travel
Bonus:
- Knowledge of Atlassian suite of tools (Jira, Bamboo, Confluence)
- Familiarity with machine learning, taxonomy, and/or data-driven modeling for eCommerce recommendations
- Demonstrated passion for digging into details to resolve customer pain points
- Literacy in SQL and/or Tableau
- Experience communicating (written and verbal) with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels across multiple business units
