The Monetization Recommendations team at Credit Karma leverages Credit Karma’s unique data set and our Machine learning infrastructure to enable offer personalization. Our products help our members find the best financial product to fulfill their financial needs. As part of the role, you would be working closely with various Credit Karma businesses to understand their needs and work closely with the Engineering & Data science teams to build the impactful data products which would directly impact our customers' lives.

What You'll Do:

  • You will bring the product lens to build the platform strategy to productize the machine learning platform, which can serve the needs of various businesses  
  • You will collaborate closely with engineering, design, data science &  go-to-market teams at Credit Karma to deliver great products to our customers
  • You will dig into the details of how various businesses within Credit Karma works, identify opportunities to make them better, and build/leverage machine learning solutions to do so
  • You will collaborate with various vertical teams to ensure your solutions integrate seamlessly and drive success for our members as well the businesses
  • You will work very closely with the analytics teams to define the framework and measure the impact created by your product initiatives
  • You will develop vision and work against prioritized roadmap for initiatives to support the monetization of various Credit Karma vertical business lines

What we are Looking for:

  • Stakeholder management: Comfortable navigating difficult situations, negotiating timelines, and influencing internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulations of customer problems
  • Data-driven decision making: Ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, make recommendations, prioritize features and drive actions
  • Engineering collaboration: You have partnered closely with engineering teams to build and complex data products at scale
  • User empathy: Strong user empathy and drive to influence data product strategy and roadmap by providing thought leadership on end-to-end user experience

What we would like to see:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • At least 3 years of work experience as Product Manager working on data platform products
  • At least 2 years working on recommendations systems
  • Experience working on optimizing marketplaces and/or in fintech is a plus
