What you will do

Join our team as a Sr. Technical Product Manager to be part of the core team that will delivers OpenBlue Platform for Smart Buildings which enables outcomes for digital transformation, sustainability, safety & Security, operations, occupant experience etc. You will play a lead role as part of a core team that designs and implements a strong platform roadmap and implementation plan to evolve platform experience and capabilities at scale. You will take on increasing level of expanding scope of product management and customer adoption capabilities by being responsible for leading an agile organization to create, drive and own the functional and non-functional platform requirements, integration needs, and follow Agile Product Management process from development phase through market launch working closely with Business Unit product leaders, end-customers, eco-system partners, product development, Digital Solution business leaders, and various functional business unit stakeholders.

How you will do it

  • Work with engineering team to deliver a scalable architecture that not just meets current needs, but considers future growth scenarios
  • Responsible for IoT platform product strategy and prioritization of the work, capabilities, components, and APIs that are used by multiple customer solutions and customer facing products
  • Entrepreneurial approach with clear bias for informed action and track record of leading new initiatives with limited resources and support
  • Responsible for platform backlog and constantly evolve it based on the latest changes in the business
  • Work with cross range of teams including engineering, platform, UX, legal, finance, sales and operations
  • Facilitate and lead workshops/discussions for idea generation, solutioning and validating business opportunities
  • Develop and execute commercialization plans
  • Gather and analyze market trends, competitive data, and voice of customer to develop product value proposition
  • Manage launches by leading cross-functional teams and supporting development of product collateral, and training/communicating to sales and channels
  • Travel required to support new customer integrations, customer support, and launch. Domestic and international travel required up to 10% -20%



Qualifications - External

What we look for

Required:

  • 8 years of product management experience working on agile software, Cloud, IoT-based projects
  • 5 Years of experience in Software or Hardware project management with global teams
  • 5 years of experience in developing business cases and features that align to key business objectives that many teams execute toward accordingly
  • 5 years of experience in writing product requirements as an Epic and User stories using agile development tools
  • Working knowledge of software and hardware technology (i.e cloud architectures, microservices and event driven architectures, cloud-native container-based environments, API's, security, machine learning/analytics IoT)
  • Strong presentation skills; presenting to all levels of leadership



Preferred:

  • Master's Degree
