At 84.51°, Kroger Precision Marketing enables brands to deliver relevant messages, offers and experiences to their best consumers through direct-to-consumer communications, programmatic digital advertising, and in-store activation.  As a Sr. Strategist, Advanced TV Product, you will be responsible for supporting the development of new and current Advanced TV products and strategies for Kroger Precision Marketing’s offsite portfolio.  The ideal candidate has a background in planning, buying or creating digital and traditional media campaigns with an emphasis on cross-platform TV (linear, streaming and addressable).  This candidate fully understands the advertising landscape (specifically television), has an interest in emerging ad tech and has a passion for pushing the status quo.  In this role, you will assist in the solution development roadmap, implement business processes with Kroger, 84.51°, partners & CPGs and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless experience across offsite advertising channels.  You will work closely with the Advanced TV Senior Product Manager to deliver against financial commitments for the product mix, continually strengthening the product suite to deliver strong ROAS to advertisers. 


This job will focus on several key initiatives:

  • Bring new Advanced TV solutions to market, traditional/cross-screen video and digital media knowledge is required
  • Leverage our proprietary assets and industry expertise to develop and scale solutions that:
    • create a win-win-win experience for consumers, retailers and brands
    • integrate paid, owned, and earned media for brands
    • disrupt the industry’s status quo in targeting & measurement for Advanced TV advertising
  • Act as the liaison between media partners, data on-boarders and internal stakeholders
  • Support development of new solutions from ideation, stakeholder assessment and alignment, capability requirements development, partner evaluation, pilot testing and launch
  • Execute against business processes developed between Kroger, 84.51° and 3rd party partners
  • Support launch plan for new Advanced TV solutions across deliverable design, collateral development, external marketing plan, sales team training, and process development
  • Support custom analysis deliverables alongside analyst teams to effectively demonstrate campaign performance for advertisers
  • Act as the subject matter expert for our core Advanced TV solutions both internally and externally – continually evaluating the industry landscape, staying current on competitive research and maintaining distance for our product portfolio
  • Perform basic financial modeling of new product/partner portfolio based on internal and industry data points, as well as assist in pricing/monetization forecasting.


QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The right person will thrive in a fast-paced environment and must possess the following:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in marketing, statistics or analytics
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant Advanced TV media experience (media company, TV-related tech, agency, retailer or CPG)
  • A minimum of 4 years in the media industry
  • Must have experience in Connected TV (OTT), Addressable TV, Linear TV and/or Data Driven Linear TV, ideally in an environment subject to shifting budgets from traditional linear into addressable/data driven channels
  • Experience working in media buying, media planning and/or data onboarding
  • Experience in developing requests for proposals, negotiating terms & reviewing contracts
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, people, and diplomacy skills are required
  • Innovative thinker that can deliver thought leadership in consumer-focused digital media
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Initiative, detail orientation, strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment
