Job Description

  • Has complete accountability of the product. Accountability to explain why a product prioritization decision is made and what problem is being solved. 

  • Balances the technical, design and business needs to find the optimal mix of value delivered.

  • Has an expertise in the stakeholder/user needs based on rigorous user facing understanding

  • Technical: Provides independent feasibility estimates and predicts implications of decisions on technical debt

  • Design: Represents visual and interaction rationale in conversation without designers present

  • Anticipates compliance needs and proactively devises strategies to mitigate challenges that may arise for their releases

  • Able to delegate portions of documentation activities while retaining high quality and accountability. Coaches peers and junior colleagues on best practices.

  • Proactively prepare for successful completion of each phase within SDLC to ensure timely delivery

  • Able to solely manage a product through regulation with your compliance counterpart

  • Within workstream. Intimate knowledge of the customer pain points and able to synthesize the true problem being solved, versus what is being requested.

  • Shares the unifying product vision "true north" with working team

  • Seeks opportunities to improve product capabilities through unique approaches to defined problems

  • Draw conclusions based upon data and change product direction based on this information. Set and own definition of success for workstreams within domain.

  • Looks for opportunities to improve business results via product decisions. Internalizes the revenue and profitability attainment tied to the product evolution.

  • Looks for opportunities to improve business results via technical decisions in partnership with technical peers

  • Develops processes to engage with users throughout the planning and development cycle to ensure what's being worked on is considering user needs and perspective. This is coupled with rigourous product discovery techniques which instill confidence with the product team that the right problems are being solved.

  • Strong verbal communication skills including ability to move beyond transparency to persuasion. Conflict resolution through communication. Asks questions to build relationships, gain knowledge, and seek clarification.

  • Form relationships and trust with stakeholders at peer and working group level

  • Inspires cross functional team members to embrace challenges and hard goals.

  • Finds ways to enable and focus the UX/UI counterparts to develop designs which help illustrate the problem being solved or opportunity being seized


  • 5-7+ years of experience in Product Management or a combination of education and experience in this area
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or a related field required Masters Degree preferred
  • Modern software delivery experience 
  • High appreciation for the mission offered to the world
