Description -
The HP Toner Supplies and Solutions (TSS) team is looking for a Senior Product Manager to work with other product managers, R&D, finance, sales, marketing and other cross-functional team members in the development and advancement of the print supplies and solutions portfolio.
The TSS Strategy and Product Management team sets the product direction for the global multi-billion-dollar laser supplies business (toner cartridges and related consumables). The supplies business is fast-paced, dynamic and integral to the overall success of HP Inc. As a Senior Product Manager, you apply your deep understanding of customers and competitors in the office printing space to define, develop and launch future products.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with cross-functional product teams to complete key deliverables throughout the product development lifecycle (phases/checkpoints) from early product definition through to launch. Partner with marketing and sales to guide go-to-market messaging and planning
- Based on strong knowledge of trends in the industry, influence the strategy/direction of the product line
- Regularly recommend product strategic direction to senior management
- Seen as the product expert with strong knowledge of the customer and competition.
- Apply analytical thinking and perform complex business modeling to drive business recommendations
- Collaborate with R&D to drive creative and innovative solutions to enhance the competitiveness of products
- Conduct competitive price benchmarking and analysis to set pricing strategy for optimal business results
- Collaborate with international supplier partners
- Set plan-of-record assumptions used in financial modeling and forecasting
- Lead initiatives that cross business functions and organizations within HP, influencing up through executive level management
- Proactively recognize opportunities to improve processes and drive solutions to address them
- Provide mentoring and training to others in the organization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in global print markets, competitors and customer segments including knowledge of Managed Print Services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly collaborative. Experience engaging with external customers.
- Demonstrated leadership. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all levels.
- Strong business acumen. Understanding of HP business models, pricing and financial concepts.
- Strong analytical skills. Ability to utilize data to frame and inform decision making.
- Demonstrated ability to apply innovation and creativity to products/solutions
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in product management/marketing or related roles
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Finance/Engineering field. MBA is highly desirable
