Job Summary:Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) Ad Platforms is responsible for delivering global advertising technology solutions for Disney’s Linear and Addressable channels, brands and streaming services. With unmatched scale, premium content and innovative capabilities, DMED Ad Platforms is a market leader in advertising. We build and maintain proprietary technology, ranging from ad serving and ad delivery, campaign management, reporting as well as all the integrations internal and external that come with evolving and maintaining a best-in-class video advertising business.
As a Senior Product Manager within the Ad Platform technology team at DMED, you will be a part of the team redefining TV advertising. You will be responsible for establishing product strategy, defining requirements consumable for engineering and driving execution to establish the platform’s future. The right person for this role can identify business value, solve complex problems, concisely articulate solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders and ultimately drive results. Responsibilities:Deep knowledge in Broadcast and Cable Traffic operations. Including expertise in these areas:

  • Media asset management
  • Integrations between television scheduling and traffic systems
  • Broadcast standards and practice systems
  • Copy instruction systems

Manage Product Roadmap

  • Develop and own all roadmap activities working with management
  • Communicate updates and status with all stakeholders
  • Understand and strategize product roadmap with overall Ad Product vision
  • Conceptual and practical expertise in media product management
  • Recommends improvements of product(s) or processes utilizing user research and and/or design concepts

Drive Product Development

  • Gather a document Business Requirements
  • Facilitate joint application design sessions
  • Create business process maps / activity diagrams
  • Generate users stories and functional requirements for Engineering
  • Manager user acceptance testing

Product Support

  • Support production activities
  • Manage backlog of enhancements
  • Work closely with Operations, Quality Assurance and Application Support to route bugs and enhancements
  • Align with business priorities and goals regularly

Business Relationship

  • Interview business stakeholders
  • Adapt to fluid business landscape
  • Lead diverse product working committee meetings
  • Set expectations through roadmap and status meeting
  • Present product solutions


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in video & advertising technology.
  • Conceptual and practical expertise in media product management
  • Recommends to improve product(s) or processes utilizing user research and and/or design concepts
  • Maintains a deep empathy for our users, and wants to creatively solve problems with a viewer-first mentality
  • Have a do what it takes attitude. Be flexible, adaptable and a team-player first
  • Experience shipping multiple products in an agile software development environment
  • Proven understanding of systems architecture, design, and implementation
  • Strong analytical skills and passionate about answering questions with data
  • Previous experience developing or working with media/order management systems, advertising platforms or addressable video management tools.
