Position Overview
Alteryx is currently looking for a Senior Manager, Product Management to help lead
the charge as we build upon and improve upon our Data Science and Machine
Learning product portfolio. In this role, you will lead a talented team of Product
Owners/Technical Product Managers as they work with Product Managers to
envision & build the future of advanced analytic capabilities with Alteryx. You will
focus on honing our agile product ownership discipline, building relationships with
our key stakeholders, and setting the team up for successful execution, in close
collaboration with engineering peers. You will be responsible for providing coaching
and direction for direct reports and ensure they can operate efficiently and
effectively while improving Alteryx’s product ownership processes. You will assist
the leadership team with communication efforts, both internally through regular
product reviews, as well as externally through customer engagement opportunities.

Key responsibilities
Motivate, coach, and manage a team of product owners/technical product
managers working in an agile environment
Oversee the successful delivery of updates and improvements to our Data
Science and Machine Learning products from inception and ideation through
design, build, launch, growth, and enhancement
Collaborate with engineering peers, product managers, customer support, UX
design, security, quality, and other key stakeholders to ensure quality
software product effectively and efficiently
Serve as an internal and external evangelist for products built by Alteryx
Leverage telemetry and other business data to understand performance
against product KPIs and present key findings and adjustments to meet or
exceed goals
Participate in the recruiting and hiring process
Preferred qualifications
5+ years of hands-on agile product ownership experience in the enterprise
software industry
Demonstrated success defining, launching, and updating enterprise software
products
Excellent teamwork skills, ability to manage, interpret, and influence cross-
functional teams
Track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive
decision-making
3+ years of previous management experience & a focus on building
relationships with trust, open feedback, and career development
Experience with best practice agile scrum development and lean startup
principles
Experience with on-premise software deployments or multi-tenant SaaS
applications
Organized, strategic thinker with business acumen
Ability to break down and communicate intricate concepts clearly and
concisely, both in writing and verbally
Experience updating or establishing product owner playbooks, templates, etc
Experience with Alteryx product portfolio is a plus
Specific knowledge & experience within the data analytics market and solid
understanding of the tools and platforms leveraged by organizations to drive
analytic transformations in their businesses is a plus.
Technical background: experience with BI, DB, Machine Learning, Open
Source, and Data products
CSPO certification is a plus
Compensation
Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Boston is $140,400 - $238,700. This position is also remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus and stock grants.
