Your Opportunity
The Digital Advisor Solutions group's mission is to deliver experiences that help advisors put client first. This opportunity is within the Schwab Advisor Center (SAC) team which is tasked with providing advisors with an extraordinary custodial platform experience. We are looking for a senior product manager to own and lead multiple Schwab Advisor Center functionality during key projects. You will partner with various groups including technology, product management, operations, legal and others in order to be successful in this role. This role is for individuals with a bias for action and the ability to overcome obstacles to successfully execute on multiple projects simultaneously.

What you are good at

  • Ownership and product management responsibility for key areas of Schwab Advisor Center
  • Provide leadership for new SAC features with a goal to enhance the overall advisor experience
  • Design and implement both enhancements and high priority new features
  • Collaborate with scrum teams and business partners to drive execution of new features and bug fixes
  • Run the product backlog, processes and release plan and plans the coordination of interdependencies with scrum team, across other lines of business; write stories and epics; Play the Product Owner role in the Agile framework.
  • Recommend scalable process improvements; identifies and shares standard methodologies and tools
  • Establish trusted relationships with partners and uses internal network; Serve as the voice of the client, bringing that perspective back to internal partners;
  • Capture partner concerns, and dependencies and implement refinements to an overall roadmap plan;
  • Identify risks and may implement mitigation strategies, ensuring team understand the importance of risk management; ideate and may design controls for an identified risk and obtains approval. Call out risk events and/or gaps in atimely fashion
  • Drive product strategy, overall project business management, project goals, development of business requirements, and represent the business on Agile teams
  • Manage client-facing communications related to new and enhanced interactions
  • Provide regular and concise updates to management team
  • Serve as the subject matter authority to cross-functional groups
  • Additional projects and tasks based on business needs



What you have

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience writing epics, user stories, bugs, and detailing client experiences
  • Experience in building partnerships to effectively deliver on projects in a cross-functional environment, and driving them to successful completion
  • Experience with analyzing data and information, and applying problem-solving skills to deliver recommendations and results. Ability to inspire change and support new ways of doing things across organizational boundaries
  • Strong influencing and leadership skills
  • Ability to build credibility with peers and key team members (at all levels of the organization) to be able to drive action
  • Comfort in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment, with a positive attitude and solid work ethic.
  • Self-starter with outstanding organizational skills. Curiosity to continually reevaluate existing user interactions
  • Ability to track and run multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of Agile methods and processes
  • Good understanding and/or experience with financial services is a plus
  • BA/BS degree or 5+ years of product management or product development in the digital space (Web)
