Position Description:

We are searching for a Sr. Director of Data & Digital Product Management who will support strategy and delivery across the Data & Digital Organization. This will be a strategic hire to drive McKesson digital transformation and ensure the overall portfolio for both Data and Digital Experience reflects the strategic importance to McKesson and is connected to MT Strategy. This role will provide leadership and execution for the delivery of large complex strategic initiatives as well as the definition and implementation of practices that improve and provide transparency to delivery team activities and post-delivery outcomes. In this role you will be responsible for cross-organization collaboration with MT Sr. Leadership, Portfolio Managers, Delivery Leaders, Solution Leaders, Solution Architects and Business Owners to ensure that our delivery teams are positioned to deliver business outcomes in an efficient and optimized manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • People management: Managing technology program and portfolio managers
  • Oversee the strategic focus area for building out data & digital capabilities which includes owning large, cross-functional data & digital transformational initiatives/workstreams and help define incremental breakdown of the work for implementation and value delivery in an accelerated fashion.
  • Be accountable to drive initiatives/workstreams within the data & digital transformation, apply the most effective best practices, foster meaningful collaboration, increase technical delivery velocity, quality, predictability and value, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure milestones for Initiatives in implementations are on track and measure against value articulated at the end of each delivery cycle.
  • Collaborates with Portfolio Managers, Business Owners, Solution Architects, Solution Leads, Product Management and Teams (when needed) to review, analyze, size and define framework for value delivery which includes lead time, product cost, development expense, risk etc.
  • Leadership and guidance to portfolio management supporting Data & Digital. Maintain day to day and helping to define the future portfolio management process working cross functionally with other capability areas as well as with the business engagement lead.
  • Provide support to Portfolio Managers and Business Owners for structuring their Business Case and MVP or Feature Definition.
  • Enable Product and Release Roadmap creation in collaboration with Solution Architects, Business Owners, Product Managers and teams as needed.



Minimum Requirements:

15+ years of relevant experience

Critical Skills:

  • 15+ years of experience in large, global organization in cross-functional roles with progressive responsibility specifically in data & digital transformations
  • Deep experience with SDLC, Product Development Lifecycle
  • Understanding of Agile, SAFe and Bi-Modal Delivery Structures
  • Proven leadership capability to run large program delivery spanning multiple organizations and stakeholders
  • Clear and concise communication skills at all levels of the organization



Additional Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience with portfolio, project and product management
  • Understanding of data analytics and digital technology
  • Process design and efficiency
  • Ability to motivate and influence leaders and teams without direct authority
  • Financial acumen and ability to make data driven decisions
  • PMP desired



Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
