Sr. Associate, Product Management, Card Transaction Fraud
Fraud – when a customer’s credit card or personal information is stolen – is a defining and increasingly frequent moment in our customers’ financial lives. According to Experian, in 2017 alone 14 million credit card numbers and 158 million social security numbers were exposed. Increasingly, this type of activity is carried out by sophisticated international criminal organizations, who are constantly innovating and using the latest technologies to commit these crimes.
Here on the Transaction Fraud Models and Infrastructure team, we counter their efforts with real-time, automated, and intelligent technology of our own. Our mission is to harness the power of advanced cloud computing and machine learning to create efficient, resilient defenses to combat fraud. We do that primarily through discovery and delivery of new risk-splitting data features, while ensuring we have the top-flight capabilities and controls in place needed to deploy enhancements quickly and safely.
This product manager will partner with data science, business intent, and technology teams to determine the optimal set of features, infrastructural innovations, and modeling techniques to drive improved customer experience and business performance.

Engage in technical discovery, grooming, and strategy conversations with engineering team to determine ideal design choices
Build relationships with other teams leveraging machine learning at Capital One to discover opportunities for extensibility and collaboration
