The mission for this role is to help us stand up our product analytics and intelligence function. This role will be responsible for standardizing our product processes and rituals tools we standardize within the product team to drive user adoption. This role is also responsible for baselining the insights we want to gather from product usage data to make further product decisions. This role will document and outline the instrumentation, monitoring and visualizations we will need to be an effective product organization as we scale our product team.

Daily Adventures

  • Own the development & execution of business models & strategy for new product revenue channels. Facilitate prioritization of investments and activities across the product organization based on product usage data and insights
  • Deliver product frameworks for the PDE team to instrument, monitor and analyse product data usage. Manage vendor relationships to ensure we have a standardized taxonomy for usage metrics across all squads.
  • Streamlined the flow of usage data from product to the respective monitoring systems - Amplitude, Datadog, Snowflake, Tableau.
  • Identify core product and engineering metrics (e.g. squad dependencies, customer escalations - EPERs, LSEs) and operationalize them to ensure we have visibility into a squads backlog
  • Conduct training sessions for internal teams to ensure tools are used on a day to day basis by our product team to make decisions, execute on our commitments.
  • Partner with BI team to be the product liaison to ensure user license types are effectively built, deployed, used, monitored and reported.

Preferred Requirements

  • High intellectual horse-power with deep analytical, strong work ethic, hustle, communication, and writing ability.
  • Experience in defining taxonomy for product instrumentation. Experience growing consumer and/or B2B2C startups, is a plus.
  • Experience in the social media, professional networking, and tech sales landscape
  • Strong people skills; can rally a cross-functional team towards a common goal. Strong technical aptitude; deeply familiar with modern application development and hyper-focused on data analytics.
  • Familiar with modern product analytics and BI/visualization space. Ideally even built product analytics integration with a Sales, Marketing, Analytics and BI platform.
