What you can expect as the Senior Product Owner:

Contribute to overall product line vision and business outcomes of the owned agile product teams. Own product backlog to optimize business value and drive Key Performance Indicator (KPI) outcomes. Drive iteration goals and content via prioritized product backlog items. Establish acceptance criteria and determine when to release or delivery to the customer. Collaborate with key partners, stakeholders and customers.

  • Translate strategic business needs and features into stories while working with the agile product teams to specify and commit the timing of the work to complete.
  • Collaborate with Product Line Manager to identify strategic business needs and define agile product teams? delivery roadmaps to provide business value.
  • Provide clarifications necessary to assist the agile product teams with their story estimates and story sequencing.
  • Focus on strategy themes and epics with limited oversight and direct partnership with business unit stakeholders.
  • Manage budget and outcomes for agile product team, incorporating Total Cost of Ownership of product/capability. Typically this is under $2 million in annual expense.
  • Participate in agile product teams objective creation.
  • Coordinate backlog dependencies with other Product Owners and Product Line Manager.
  • Balance new capabilities and features with technical investments and prioritize work in alignment with business strategy, expected outcomes, including end to end customer experience within the established budget.
  • Responsible for supporting multiple systems and business capabilities across lines of business and leading transformational change.
  • Own, prioritize and maintain the Product Backlog, including the definition of epics, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead sprint demo with the agile product teams and business stakeholders.
  • Work closely with business partners and Product Owners at all levels in the organization to proactively define department requirements, complete backlog grooming and planning, define stories and sizing and collaborate with other stakeholders related to requirements definition and impact analysis.
  • Own ongoing initiatives like process automation and customer experience analysis.
  • Share business domain knowledge and direction to the agile product teams.
  • Provide clear business requirement direction for vendor implementations.
  • Engage with stakeholders at different business units.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree Product Management, Information Systems, Marketing, Communication or Business Administration preferred
  • Minimum 4 years' relevant product ownership or project experience leading and directing product and project application or service development and agile product teams preferred
  • Minimum 4 years' relevant product experience to understand the customer's business process preferred
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner designation required
  • Some travel may be required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the product management and product marketing discipline and portfolio planning, including alignment with strategic goals and financial objectives
  • Demonstrated leadership effectiveness engaging agile product teams, customers and other stakeholders to support business objectives and develop overall product management capability (e.g. people, process, product)
  • Basic familiarity with the principles of design thinking and lean and agile software delivery
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all stakeholders, including senior leadership
  • Proven track record of quality product management and execution
  • Working knowledge of applicable industry laws and regulations as they relate to delivering products to the market
  • Strong, established leadership track record of human capital management principles, practices and procedures
  • Demonstrated strong negotiating and influencing leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to present and adapt ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Criminal background check required
