Senior Product Manager
Overview
SP+ is looking for a talented Senior Product Manager with strong technical acumen and an agile background to join our Product & Technology team in the Nashville, TN metro.
This person will be an integral part of the product management team and will be responsible for guiding the success of app-based point-of-sale (POS) and parking enforcement products and services for new and existing products in a SaaS environment.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will:
- Be a perceptive and creative leader, as well as a reliable, tactical problem-solver
- Develop time-based product roadmap and feature requirements that deliver differentiation and value for consumers and clients by analyzing industry and technology trends, as well as competitive conditions
- Act as a cross-functional leader, influencer and negotiator who can effectively communicate with various business and technology stakeholders to gain understanding of the implications of product features and decisions and challenge assumptions
- Be recognized as an expert in our POS and parking enforcement technologies
- Be independently motivated to take end-to-end ownership of your products both strategically and tactically
Responsibilities
- Create, manage and ensure transparency to product backlogs with user stories that clearly define the why, when and what is developed from conception through launch, including ongoing support
- Represent the voice of the end user and drive the experience by communicating expected behavior and results while defining the needs of hardware and software technologies through story refinement
- Develop a product opinion that drives scope, leveraging input from operations and clients to appraise the value and reduce friction
- Understand system impacts across the organization
- Guide the successful launch and implementation of technology on responsive web, mobile apps, smart devices and supporting hardware in the field
- Stay attuned to market competition and trends, relevant technology and vendor offerings
- Create the onboarding process for features that impact field operators and provide guidance and input on the ongoing support plan, including training of field operations and customer support
- Perform with a service-focused mindset with emphasis on delivering on-time, high-quality products and services
- Be genuinely empathetic, accountable and an engaged team member by accomplishing results as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
- 5-8 years of experience in a product manager role with an operations focus and demonstrated success defining, launching and managing SaaS products
- Experience in a software development environment with a proven track record to work under pressure and deliver
- Ability to work with complex technical concepts and effectively communicate to people of varying disciplines and levels within the organization
- Proven ability to motivate and drive cross-functional teams, strong negotiating skills using diplomacy and tact, and a natural tendency to be curious
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated initiative, passionate dedication to your craft, attention to detail, commitment to dive into the weeds, and a desire to succeed
- Experience with smart devices and hardware
- Nashville-based with the ability to work from home three days per week
- Certified Scrum Product Owner, or equivalent, is preferred
- Minimal travel required (approximately two times a year)
