The role:

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager for the core payments team who will own defining, executing, and delivering a technology roadmap for the Galileo product team. We are on a journey to create a cloud powered financial platform that democratizes access to financial services for our clients. You will help shape the investments as we modernize our current infrastructure and investments and invest in new product services. 

You will work on shaping our current product investments to create a more modern and cloud based offering, invest in net new cloud services and own and drive international growth. This role is cross-functional—you will work closely with engineering, design, operations, finance, payment networks, clients and executive teams to set technology strategy, define and prioritize features. You’ll bridge technical and business worlds engaging with matrixed teams including engineering, design, operations, legal, risk, compliance and you must drive internal stakeholder and partner engagements necessary for the on-time launch of the product.

In this role you will be expected to independently interface and drive discussions and decisions with leaders from product, engineering, business unit and operations.

 What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders from marketing, sales, relationship management, finance, business development, operations, etc., to understand and translate needs and requirements into scalable and extensible product features
  • Work closely with engineering manager and squad(s) members and own a healthy and prioritize a backlog of new products and technical features
  • Work with clients to address new and/or updates to existing products or features
  • Manage dependencies across multiple squads and ensure the communication, prioritization, execution and delivery of products and features 
  • Own, prioritize and maintain the product roadmap for your area
  • Drive the conceptualization and definition of innovative solutions and strategies in a customer centric environment
  • Work with potential new partners and vendors to evaluate build vs buy/partner approach and strategy
  • Work with existing partners to research and develop new features, or drive the enhancement of existing capabilities and functionalities needed to increase the adoption of our products
  • Design, communicate and publish new or enhancements to processes and frameworks, to help maintain efficiency and high performance

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in technical, business or analytic field
  • 6+ years in product management with experience building financial and payment related products and platforms
  • Experience within the fintech industry or payments domain 
  • Experience presenting to upper management and executive level leadership
  • Proven ability to develop, maintain and prioritize product requirements and roadmaps
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, required to communicate across multiple teams, departments, executive team, and consumers of the company’s products
  • Ability to work with remote teams and an agile environment
  • Experience working with clients to address requirements related to new or existing features, as well as resolving urgent issues and escalations related to the behavior of the product
  • Ability to maintain a keen attention to detail, multitask and work well under pressure
  • Expertise in the product or market including specific technical or industry knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
  • Natural tendency to be curious, positive and creative
  • Experience managing complex product development cycles and technical solutions
  • Experience working with and leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on deadlines
  • Sincere empathy for the customer and a commitment to delving deep into the challenges they present or experience
