Position Overview:

Alteryx is growing, and we are looking for a Senior Product Manager on the Extensibility team to lead our SDKs and Developer Experience strategy and execution.

 

In this role, you'll help define strategy and roadmap while working closely with Executives, Product Engineering, and various go-to-market teams to benefit Alteryx customers, Partners, and Community Developers, building cutting-edge analytic solutions on the Alteryx Platform. In addition, this role will define release scopes and be the face of the product for various internal and external stakeholders. 

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data science, SDKs, APIs, and how to use this understanding to create end-user enterprise software. Historical proficiency in running technical data-driven products and a creative, disruptive mindset for innovation are also keys to success in this role. 

What you'll do: 

  • Drive decision making around which problems to tackle and when by building relationships with partners, customers, and Alteryx Community members to gather feedback 

  • Define product requirements to maintain and improve our position as a leader in the data science space.

  • Work closely with distributed data science and product engineering teams to manage new priorities while balancing technical stability and maintaining high quality.

  • Own the successful delivery of new releases through initiative ideation, development, beta, and launch, and post-launch.

  • Evangelize the value of our core product to both internal stakeholders and externally to prospective and existing customers at events.

  • Work closely with PM leadership on how product strategy impacts the entire platform.

  • Monitor and manage successful delivery of features defined in the product roadmap with respective teams throughout the development life cycle; work to identify risks and remove impediments; discover opportunities for improvement and keep senior management and others informed.

  • Travel (Up to 25%) to coordinate efforts between physically separated teams.

What we are looking for in you: 

  • 3+ years proven Product Management or Software Engineering experience, particularly in the data and analytics space

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field (engineering, computer science, data science, machine learning, etc.) preferred

  • Technical background; experience with Python, C++, JavaScript or various data science techniques.

  • Project management skills; problem-solving skills; strategic thinking and business acumen.

  • Practical documentation skills with the ability to articulate technical information.

  • Excellent teamwork skills, ability to manage, interpret and influence cross-functional and remote teams

Compensation: 

Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Broomfield, CO is $101,700 - 172,900. Compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus and stock grants.
