Upwork is looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead our Personalization initiative. You should love data! Building data capabilities that help tell a rich story about our users should excite you! As a part of this role, you will be responsible for defining the User data strategy including how to collect, store, govern and distribute User Data to build a 360˚ view of the customer. Additionally, you should also be excited to use this data to build personalized experiences and recommendations that help get users ahead in their journey. Personalization is one of the critical growth strategies at Upwork and you will have the opportunity to influence and frame this vision.

• Own the product lifecycle, from discovery and definition to execution, launch & iteration

• Work with cross-functional Design, product, and Engineering leaders to develop the roadmap, balancing long-term infrastructure investments against near-term KPIs and targets.

• Work with data science to define requirements for the next stage of personalization

• Define detailed use cases, product requirements, and technical specs needed to support roadmap initiatives.

• Comfortable with large volumes of data, databases, and event structures. Ability to self-serve across different data and reporting platforms.

• Maintain standards for a data-driven approach to making decisions and gain user insight using rigorous A/B tests, qualitative user studies, and quantitative market research.

• Identify broader issues and potential solutions, using technical, company, and industry knowledge.

• Identify and onboard the right 3rd party solutions, maintain vendor relationships, influence vendor roadmaps.

• Proven experience in product management

• Proven industry knowledge and technical proficiency in digital experience platforms, and how these platforms influence important metrics and business outcomes

• Experience with Customer Data Platforms, User Onboarding, Personalization

• Experience working with data science.

• Self-motivated; independent, organized, and proactive; highly responsive, flexible, and adaptable.

• Strong communication skills; able to effectively influence a wide range of collaborators all across the organization.
