About the Position:
As our Senior Product Manager on our Marketplace mobile team, you will define, build, launch, and grow our consumer marketplace, the ChowNow app (iOS | Android). You will be an integral part in evolving a differentiated product vision and strategy to help the ChowNow app become a truly best in class mobile experience for diners to order from their local restaurants. 

As a representative of the Product organization across the company, you’ll partner with stakeholders and teams across the organization to identify new areas of opportunity for us to explore. You will have a high level of responsibility and influence over strategic company priorities.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of product work that will directly impact our diners. While our Marketplace is still an emerging vision and opportunity, we’ve 4Xed our marketplace diners since 2020, and we’re excited about where we’re taking things from here.

This is a remote position based in one of our employee hubs of Los Angeles, San Francisco, Austin, Atlanta, NYC, Kansas City, or Chicago.

Specifically you will:

  • Grow and evolve the ChowNow app (iOS and Android)
  • Plan and execute on a product roadmap that balances continuous improvements with strategic experimentation and product innovation.
  • Collaborate with our VP of Marketplace, Consumer Marketing, Analytics, Product Design, Engineering, Operations, etc to identify new opportunities to grow our marketplace solution.
  • Keep up-to-date on the latest marketplace trends and insights that provide new ways to solve customer problems.
  • Work with our research team to learn consumer behavior and better empathize with our diners and our restaurant clients.

Within 30 days, you’ll:

  • Complete the ChowNow New Hire Ramp Camp.
  • Learn how ChowNow positions our products and services to demonstrate value to local restaurant owners.
  • Work with our research team to understand our users and identify product opportunities.
  • Learn about the tech stack, database structure, and system architecture.
  • Gain a complete understanding of the current state of our marketplace solution.

Within 60 days, you’ll:

  • Set key success metrics and establish a high-level product roadmap based on your discovery of customer pain points and how we can solve them.
  • Become familiar with ChowNow’s product development cycle by releasing your first feature into production.
  • Prioritize product backlog items for two full sprints of design and development work.
  • Contribute to ongoing conversation and identify product & customer opportunity areas to explore.

Within 90 days, you'll:

  • Work with the team to research and test new ways we can provide value to our diners
  • Present your short term strategy for our Marketplace mobile apps
  • Refine the product roadmap with scope and rough project milestones.
  • Share the product roadmap with key stakeholders and articulate the customer and business impact.
  • Release your first major product based on your rollout strategy.

Within 6 months, you’ll:

  • Become known as an enthusiastic product leader and subject matter expert, demonstrating your ability to seek out new ideas, solve problems quickly, and collaborate with teams across ChowNow.
  • Define and champion the long term vision of our Marketplace experience

Within 1 year, you’ll:

  • Build your product area into a successful new line of business that’s generating additional orders and revenue for our restaurant partners.

You Should Apply If:

  • You have 6+ years of product management experience in developing mobile apps.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity, have a bias toward informed action, and have a track record of leading new initiatives.
  • You have the ability to communicate strategy and priorities effectively with all levels of management, including C-suite.
  • You can naturally formulate hypotheses and analyze results to hone in on the right decisions.
  • You’re constantly curious about the latest trends in marketplace and diner behaviors.
  • You have experience developing marketplace solutions for consumers. 
  • You have experience building Consumer-facing products in a B2B2C environment
  • You have experience working with agile teams and are a subject matter expert in teaching agile best practices.
  • You are excited to interact with customers to collect feedback.
  • You have previous experience in a role involved in the software development life cycle in addition to your product management experience.
  • You’re a fan of iterative development, working with cross-functional teams to hypothesize, measure impact, and learn from previous releases to iterate on future roadmap plans.
