Our Localization team works with cross-functional teams, from partners, business development, engineering, support, marketing, professional services and sales to build and deliver localized products in 16+ languages. In RingCentral’s fast-paced continuous release environment, Localization Team is responsible for driving simultaneous shipment of localized products, across product lines and brands. As the Localization Manager in Global & Partners Product team, you are the ultimate owner of the localized customer experience for our global products and services, as well as the person responsible for driving future localization development, and global customer adoption. In this role, you will work directly with stakeholders from inception to delivery of their localization projects, ensuring that requirements are understood and implemented correctly, and that high quality localized products are delivered on time and on budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the end to end process of Localization requests from internal stakeholders, based on Global roadmap commitments. 

  • Work with globally distributed Localization team to manage end-to-end localization works for multiple languages per release. 

  • Engage and build relationship with cross-functional teams and stakeholders including Product, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Support, Ops, QA etc.

  • Work with product and engineering teams across RingCentral to ensure localizability best practices are followed to mitigate downstream issues and reduce cost and time-to-market for localization

  • Work with vendors to ensure all assignments and requirements are understood, and deliveries are completed on time and met quality metrics.

  • Work with Product teams on localization scope and requirements. 

  • Work with Release Management and Engineering on localization process, milestones and release schedule.

  • Work with Engineering, vendors and QA to execute localization tasks and perform linguistic testing & bug fixing

  • Maintain and administer translation memory, terminology glossary, and style guides

  • Analyze localizability and localization workflow issues and provide optimal solutions

  • Review, prioritize, and track progress of issues that affect localized product content relevancy, quality, and functionality

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of localization program management experience, preferably in SaaS or Enterprise software

  • Hands-on experience with web and software localization, CAT tools and common Translation Management System.

  • Excellence communication and analytical skills

  • Ability to lead cross-functionally, and work with minimal supervision

  • Culturally sensitive and ability to work well with globally distributed teams

  • Ability to thrive in startup environment. We want candidates with that entrepreneurial spark!

Nice-to-Have:

  • BA/BS in technical discipline or equivalent experience

  • Knowledge of SDLC, waterfall & agile methodologies

  • Knowledge and fluency in at least one non-English language or international experience is a big plus

  • Wicked smart and have a strong bias for action and results

  • Knowledge of cloud voice, video, and messaging communication products

  • User-focused problem solver with ability to translate user feedback and usage data into requirements
