Senior Product Manager - Labor and Productivity
How you’ll make an impact:
As our Senior Product Manager of Labor and Productivity, you will help hospital systems manage labor expense and staff productivity so they can reduce the need for premium pay and manage staffing assignments more efficiently while still maintaining a high level of care for their patients. Every day you will work with clients, development teams, and subject matter experts to make the product vision a reality. To thrive in this role, you must enjoy spending time in the market to understand our customers’ problems, have the ability to collaborate with thought leaders and clients to identify innovative solutions, and work closely with the development team to deliver new features and functionality.
- Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research
- Work with engineering and design teams to refine requirements and build defined features
- Maintain the backlog and attend agile ceremonies for a scrum team
- Collaborate with the product management team to align the roadmap with the company and product strategy
- Communicate product vision to key stakeholders within the organization
- Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute
- Serve as an evangelist for the product’s vision, features, and functionality
- Train the trainer on product functionality and usage
A Day in the Life:
- Define and document product requirements to meet vision
- Communicate and collaborate with development team on product requirement refinement helping them understand key benefits and target customer
- Prioritize and maintain product backlog ensuring requirements are ready for the next 3-4 sprints and high-level plans are defined for next 3 releases
- Conduct product demos for internal and external stakeholder
- Evaluate and sign off on finished work
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years of product management or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience building and launching products on web platforms
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare or financial domains preferred, particularly with a focus in productivity and labor management
- Experience with productivity management software system
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and SQL
- Fluent in Agile and Scrum software development methodologies
- Advanced written and verbal communication with the ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent presentation and listening skills, with ability to think quickly and deliver consultative response
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time
- Ability to make real-time autonomous decisions when conditions change, based on understanding of the user context, business objectives, and client needs
- Ability to empathize with our customers and understand their needs, pain points, and areas for improvement
