The Growth team’s charter is to rapidly expand the number of learners that access Coursera’s platform, globally. Growth partners closely with marketing, product, partnerships, and business teams across Coursera, to improve access to high quality learning experiences to anyone, anywhere.


We are looking for an experienced PM to drive the product strategy, roadmap and execution of Coursera’s consumer experience in priority regions and countries around the world. You will work closely with international learners, customers and our dedicated regional Marketing and Sales team to deeply understand user needs and translate them into a roadmap. You must be adept at managing complex cross-functional initiatives, leading through influence, and have a bias towards data-driven decision making. You should relish a high degree of ambiguity and dive into new problems head-first.

Responsibilities:

  • Deeply understand global learners and local go to market needs, understanding core problems, and validating that your teams' solutions solve real problem that translate into business results
  • Partner closely with multiple product and engineering teams to adapt the Coursera product for global learners - specifically, the consumer discovery & conversion experiences (e.g. homepage, search, browse, product pages, site messaging, checkout, payments, pricing, packaging and promotions)
  • Translate local learner and business requirements into platform capabilities that are extensible to multiple geographies
  • Work with business teams to establish business goals for priority countries and ensure that we are meeting or exceeding those goals
  • Make prioritization and trade-off decisions, balancing the consumer experience, launch complexity and timeline, development effort across multiple product teams, and business value
  • Effectively manage stakeholder relationships functionally and at senior levels (VP+)

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of product management experience owning and driving complex products end-to-end across multiple teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to lead a large decentralized group from complex and ambiguous situations to clarity and focus
  • Ability to absorb large amounts of information, distill key themes into action plans, and precisely communicate to a wide cross-functional audience
  • A drive to question assumptions and validate hypotheses through experimentation and data
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience presenting to executives and diverse cross-functional stakeholders
  • Flexibility to accommodate off-hours calls with other geographies
  • A get-things-done attitude to make your product and team successful 
  • Experience in consumer products, e-commerce, growth or international expansion highly valued
