Position Overview

Architects, engineers, designers, artists, and makers of all backgrounds use Autodesk Forge to innovate new experiences in manufacturing, architecture, and media. Underlying all that is a variety of cloud applications, automation tools, and a tight focus on operating a cloud platform responsible for the world's design & make data. As the Product Manager in our Developer Enablement group you will be driving the strategy and roadmap for Autodesk's cloud capabilities enabling 4000+ Autodesk developers to Build, Deploy and Manage their software.

You will be the voice of the customer (developers) as part of our leadership team and will be a key player in pushing forward the operational excellence of our team of teams. You'll work with experts in cloud technologies and distributed systems, architects, engineers, designers, and researchers to conduct user research, validate solutions, launch and track new cloud platform capabilities.

We provide a set of Build and Deploy solutions that enable our application teams to deliver their cloud software products to Autodesk's customers in a fast, secure, compliant and cost effective manner. Our team is also rapidly maturing cloud Management and compliance Auditing capabilities to automate the most common Day 2 operations and reduce developer toil enabling their transition to DevOps with Cloud Native best practices.

We participate and often lead many of the software development standards, enabling product teams get to the next step on their cloud maturity journey, meeting them were they are with suitable best practices. We provide easy to onboard, clearly documented and well supported Observability tools and practices which enable product teams to create strong feedback loops at various stages of their value stream. We continually strengthen our solutions by adopting a true DevOps culture of fast feedback loops, continuous learning and experimentation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage expectations of stakeholders through frequent and clear communication of vision, strategy, and roadmap
  • Collaborate with designers and researchers to advocate for, plan, and execute user research and solution validation plans
  • Use a lean product mindset to drive product decisions and roadmap development
  • Document user needs in workflows, use cases, or customer journeys
  • Set and evaluate product success using qualitative and quantitative measures
  • Practice facilitative leadership to drive decision making and prioritization towards positive team and product outcomes
  • Facilitate build vs buy vs partner decisions across roles and organizational boundaries
  • Contribute to the product management culture at Autodesk



Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years working as Product Manager
  • Experience with shipping technical products
  • Experience with enterprise scale public cloud infrastructure
  • Ability to break down complex problems into user-focused solutions
  • Experience defining and tracking product metrics
  • Experience evaluating a quickly moving competitive landscape especially in cloud computing, business process automation, and devops tooling
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills
  • Passion for enabling operational excellence with global impact
  • Familiarity with cloud deployment technologies, modern software development and cloud native best practices
  • Ability to travel 5-10%
