About the Role
As a Product Manager on the Customer Obsession team, you will be responsible for creating a magical Uber experience for Grocery support. You will own the strategy to drive the overall grocery support experience for consumers, shoppers & merchants, and have the opportunity to impact one of the fastest growing verticals at Uber. The role demands a proven background in product management, experience in a fast paced environment, ability to operate in a highly technical & data-driven environment, and the ability to work collaboratively with executive-level partners.
What the Candidate Will Do

  • Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch for end-to-end support experiences for Uber Grocery, including the experience for consumers, shoppers and merchants.
  • Establish shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution
  • Collaborate with design team and guide their investments for research, prototyping, experimentation, and overall design thinking
  • Collaborate with various Uber product teams to integrate customer information and infographics to enable accurate and effortless resolutions
  • Be incredibly truth-seeking. Collect whatever data is vital to inform product direction, whether in the form of competitive intel, customer behavior or other business metrics.
  • Make tradeoff decisions based on technical and business insights and experimentation
  • Monitor and measure launched products and feed insights back into product development process to drive growth
  • Clearly communicate product plans, benefits and results, as appropriate, to a spectrum of audiences, from internal partners to Uber executives, employees to customers

Basic Qualifications

  • A computer science undergraduate degree or other engineering degree equivalent
  • 8+ years of product experience, with at least 3-4 years experience delivering highly successful and innovative products or platforms with your signature all over them
  • Data-driven decision-making ability
  • Design thinking and customer-centric approach to building, experimenting, and iterating products
  • A "driver" personality - constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery while balancing the need for great collaboration
  • High standards across the board - from your own contributions to the people you work with to the products you work on
  • Grittiness: You don't hesitate to take initiative and address something hands-on, you persevere when others give up
  • Passion for Uber's mission and the company's hybrid technology/operations nature
  • A deep desire to grow and learn

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building customer support applications that include but may not be limited to automations and channels (chat, voice, email, chat bot)
  • MBA and/or consulting experience
