Job Description

Cricut’s Software Product Management department is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the vision and development of content discovery on our design platform. This entails creating the strategy and roadmap for discovery (search and browse) for Design Space Content, supporting the development of backend processes for content management and working cross functionally across departments to improve discoverability for new business needs. You will drive the evolution of how our members find images, fonts, projects, educational materials and other Cricut content. You will play a key role in shaping expanding how our users can explore content in new ways to improve discoverability and increase engagement.

As a Software Product Manager focused on Content Discovery at Cricut, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Defining, sharing, and evangelizing the product vision across the organization, building a prioritized roadmap, and making actionable progress towards that vision. 

  • Working with UX, QA, Content and Software Development teams to bring new products to market. 

  • Working with product marketing to execute marketing plans; analyzing performance post launch with QA and Analytics teams; and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the software.

  • Gathering insights from numerous sources – search logs, metrics, member feedback, customer research, competitive analysis etc. – and translating user and business needs into deliverable product requirements. 

  • Prioritizing and sequencing work using a combination of data insights and product intuition. 

  • Data driven with an ability to engage in technical discussions with software engineers and data scientists 

  • Identifying gaps in our content library and working with the Content team to rectify. 

  • Working as part of a team to understand the relationships between different content types and creating a comprehensive content strategy plan.

Qualifications

  • Preferred minimum 5 years experience in the software product management role 

  • You are a passionate innovator and looked to as an innovative thinker by your peers and current manager. You have experience in defining innovative products and experiences as well as leading teams. 

  • You should possess a proven ability to translate member insights into member experience and business strategy recommendations. 

  • Excellent tactical and strategic thinking as well as interpersonal, written and verbal communication and presentation skills. 

  • Collaborative member who can play a leadership role on cross-functional teams with a proven ability to build relationships and work effectively in a team environment. 

  • Decision-making experiences demonstrating appropriate balance between thoughtful research and the need for timeliness. 

  •  You have a “can do” attitude and work towards bringing positivity and solutions to user problems.

  • Keen attention to detail and systems thinking. 

  •  Ability to effectively plan measures of success, organize, analyze, and present data in support of our solutions. 

  • Experience with Search and /or Content Discovery. 

  • Experience with Fonts an advantage. 

  • Passion for our mission of helping people lead creative lives. 

  • Knowledge of CMS, Payment System and/or Communication systems, a plus. 

  • A bonus if you are a crafter
