Department OverviewThe Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team is responsible for the development and operations of critical cloud infrastructure and platform services, in support of Motorola Solutions' public and hybrid cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions for public safety customers. This team is part of Motorola Solutions’ Software Enterprise division, which offers secure, reliable and efficient team communications, workflow and operational intelligence solutions for mission critical public safety and enterprise markets throughout the world. Our services leverage Cloud Computing infrastructure on Azure to build at scale.
Job Description

This position is open to all remote candidates based in the US. 

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineering (CIE) team at Motorola Solutions is looking for a Product Manager who can own the strategy and roadmap for our Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform. The CIE IAM platform is a critical piece that controls how customers onboard on to the platform, and how users authenticate and interact with it. Its importance to the company cannot be overstated.

This is a deeply technical role that requires knowledge and experience with IAM products such as Ping Identity, Ping Authorize, and Azure Active Directory. Knowledge of identity protocols such as SAML and OIDC as well as general knowledge of identity federation, SCIM, and passwordless identity standards like FIDO2 and WebAuthN will be very beneficial. 

You will be helping to build a platform that is used by 100s of applications inside and outside of Motorola Solutions and to be successful you’ll need to have a keen sense of where the broader business is going to stay ahead of the curve. You’ll be responsible for working with internal and external partners to chart the strategy, prioritize investments and work closely with engineering to deliver the goods. You’ll have the autonomy to make build vs. buy decisions, work with partner teams to deliver solutions efficiently and present to executives to showcase the team's work. Job Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for

• Defining the vision, strategy and roadmap for Identity and Access Management in the cloud

• Ensuring that the platform we build is designed to be highly secure, scalable and available

• Understanding customer and partner requirements, creating functional specifications and working with engineering to architect and deliver the right solutions at the right time

• Product ideation, development and launch activities 

• Working closely with internal and external partners to understand what we need to build and prioritize based on business needs

• Managing external cloud and software vendor relationships to align priorities and jointly plan roadmaps

• Be the face of the team with executives around the company to showcase the value prop and progress against our goals.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of Product Management or Engineering management experience

• 10+ years overall industry experience in software, hardware or related engineering field

• 3+ years of experience delivering cloud based products and services

• Experience working on cloud based SaaS or PaaS software and a track record of delivery.

• Technical knowledge of industry leading Identity standards - e.g. SAML, OIDC, SCIM, FIDO2, WebAuthN

• Experience working with external partners and vendors to make build vs. buy decisions, negotiate pricing and manage long term relationships

• Experience in SaaS development and DevOps concepts

• Demonstrated ability to seek out opinions & build trust/buy-in across all functional teams.

• Excellent communication and people skills

• Bachelor's Degree required (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related degree)
