Department OverviewThe Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team is responsible for the development and operations of critical cloud infrastructure and platform services, in support of Motorola Solutions' public and hybrid cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions for public safety customers. This team is part of Motorola Solutions’ Software Enterprise division, which offers secure, reliable and efficient team communications, workflow and operational intelligence solutions for mission critical public safety and enterprise markets throughout the world. Our services leverage Cloud Computing infrastructure on Azure to build at scale.
Job Description

The Admin Platform is a critical piece of this solution because it’s essential that we create a robust customer provisioning and management solution for our customers.
The Cloud Infrastructure Engineering (CIE) team at Motorola Solutions is looking for a Product Manager who can own the strategy, roadmap, and project execution for our Cloud Admin Platform. Admin drives the experience customers have when they onboard onto Motorola’s cloud solutions and it is the primary system they interact with to manage users, groups, roles and permissions.
The Admin Platform is used by almost every single Motorola Solutions cloud application. So it’s essential that you are able to work with engineering teams across the company to envision the future and create the roadmap for this critical component. Excellent communication skills and organizational skills are a must for this role.
The ideal candidate will also have a strong technical background and some history working with identity and directory systems such as Active Directory or other LDAP directories. Knowledge of Database technology and Data Modeling is also essential.
Job Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for
Defining the vision, strategy and roadmap for the Motorola Cloud Admin Platform
Working closely with engineering to execute on the defined vision and roadmap.
Understanding customer and partner requirements, creating functional specifications and working with engineering to architect and deliver the right solutions at the right time
Product ideation, development and launch activities.
Working closely with internal and external partners to understand what we need to build and prioritize based on business needs
Managing external cloud and software vendor relationships to align priorities and jointly plan roadmaps
Be the face of the team with executives around the company to showcase the value prop and progress against our goals.
Required Qualifications
At least 5 years of Product Management or Engineering experience in the software and technology industry.
Experience with Identity and Directory technologies such as LDAP and Active Directory
Experience with designing functional requirements for Database applications
Experience in SaaS development and DevOps concepts
Experience using Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
Bachelor's Degree required (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related degree)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Ping Identity and Ping Authorize will give candidates an advantage
Experience working with external partners and vendors to make build vs. buy decisions, negotiate pricing and manage long term relationships
Experience in the Scrum Master or Product Owner role
Demonstrated ability to seek out opinions & build trust/buy-in across all functional teams.
Excellent communication and people skills
Ability to design database solutions for high scale applications
Basic Requirements
