Mavenir is looking for a dynamic Product Owner for the Cloud Enterprise BU, to dive the requirements analysis and product development responsibilities related to Mavenir's Business Messaging Products with a special focus on SaaS deployments.

Reporting to the Cloud BU VP of Product Management, the ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing a product lifecycle, preferably in the domain of unified communications, understands the communication service provider and channel partner markets, is passionate about the business communications space, and is adept at producing engaging customer presentations.

This position plays an instrumental role in defining the long-term roadmap of Mavenir's growing business mobility space. The ideal candidate will work alongside sales, engineering the rest of the product management team to manage the strategic and day-to-day product lifecycle.

Our Business Messaging solutions are deployed across several large organizations as well as on our as-a-Service cloud. As the product owner for the Business Messaging Solutions you will join our Business Messaging PLM team and be responsible for driving the creation and development of a number of business messaging solutions. This position will be based in Richardson, Texas, however, additional consideration regarding actual work location can be given to outstanding candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Break down the high-level features and business requirements into more detailed features, epics and user stories.
• Create and manage the product backlog, by determining which features should be prioritized for development taking into consideration the capacity and capability of the team
• Deliver projects and products using the appropriate agile project management methodology, learning & iterating frequently
• Communicating with technical teams and users to determine their needs and priorities
• Working with the technical teams to help answer their questions and make product decisions
• Approving and signing off on the development of product features
• Ability to make independent decisions and takes action to help achieve the sprint goals
• Be the subject matter expert for the scrum teams, and the go-to person for project development decisions and the articulation of requirements
• Engage in day-to-day activities with the Product development teams. This involves attending daily scrum ceremonies, leading refinement sessions, and engaging with the
• development team, providing direction and focus

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the telecom domain - preferably in a managed hosting, Cloud and network environment
• Understanding of the telecommunications landscape, specifically mobile networks, RCS, business messaging, cloud and software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions.
• Experience related to the following preferred: Messaging, voice and video calling, Chatbot design, WhatsApp and other messaging platforms, advertising and business promotions.
• Familiarity with UX/UD design of software clients for mobile, tablet and and desktop.
• Knowledge in Agile software development, CI/CD (Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery) is a plus
• Degree in engineering or IT domain is required. MBA is a plus
• Mastery of Agile and scrum methods and practices
• Comprehensive understanding of development project methodology
• Experience working with product management, engineering, and external parties to design and develop technology
• Experience and desire to work in a global development and delivery environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deliverable deadlines
• Great communicator and presenter
• Solid track record with references showing traits in-line with the above requirements
