Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience as a Product Manager for software products that include API functions; experience managing APIs as a product is preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of RESTful concepts and JSON with at least 3 years of Agile experience
  • 5 years of experience defining and delivering world-class software products in a Product Management role, with a focus on frontend customer experiences
  • Customer champion, obsessed with building better experiences that drive value
  • Demonstrated expertise defining a product vision, strategy and roadmap
  • Demonstrated expertise influencing, negotiating with and gaining buy-in from stakeholders
  • Demonstrated expertise understanding the needs of, and advocating on behalf of, existing and prospective customers
  • Demonstrated expertise collecting and using data to make strategic decisions
  • Demonstrated expertise defining, managing and measuring product success
  • Demonstrated expertise translating customer requirements into work items for engineering, design or data teams
  • Demonstrated ability to understand underlying technologies, data and design of solutions
  • Demonstrated ability validating design through user research, such as A/B testing
  • Ability to contribute to a Product Management Community or Practice (CoP)
  • Demonstrated aptitude for solving technical and operational problems while driving multiple priorities and programs and delivering against tight timelines in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to thrive on a high level of autonomy and responsibility
  • Comfortable with early-stage product development


Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate degree or equivalent competency in information technology, business management, marketing or a related field
  • Experience with the fintech industry


Job Summary

Digital Partnerships is a new team at Rocket that is focused on providing 3rd party partners and their customers the right experiences and capabilities for the Rocket suite of products.

As a Senior Digital Product Manager, you will be recognized as an expert by the teams they work with and acts as a mentor to peers. This is an opportunity to own the success of software products by setting the strategy, roadmap and feature definition for all phases of its lifecycle. You'll combine your competitive market research with your customers' business goals to illustrate a product vision. You will also define the business hypotheses and key performance indicators to measure product success and ensure delivery of business value for each iteration of a product release. As a Senior Digital Product Manager, you will be responsible for elevating product team performance and must have demonstrated ability in mentoring and driving product performance and processes at a higher caliber.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and iteratively improve the product vision and roadmap, ensuring that solutions achieve desired outcomes
  • Evangelize a common understanding of the product vision and roadmap
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define the product's strategy, go-to-market strategy, competitive analysis and revenue analysis
  • Anticipate customer needs and wants through market trends, customer research and product data evaluation
  • Maintain a healthy feature backlog to support a continuous flow of value
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business and technical investment decisions into features
  • Ensure that acceptance criteria are met prior to launch
  • Enable an intuitive customer experience through functional requirements (FRs) and non-functional requirements (NFRs)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define the scope of work for features, epics or programs
  • Integrate product data, stakeholder ideas and customer feedback into requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to conduct trade-off analyses and inform priority of technical debt, technical investment work and customer requests
  • Actively monitor feature progress, risks and scope to anticipate and mitigate issues
  • Collaborate with leadership to support team member onboarding and growth
  • Collaborate with leadership to define product management best practices and processes
  • Develop and track KPIs to measure product impact
