About the job
The Red Hat Business Unit is looking for a Senior Principal Product Manager - OpenShift to join us. In this role, you will work with Red Hat OpenShift subsystems and liaise with Engineering and Product teams to ensure the seamless development and delivery of the end software product to the market.
What you will do

  • Assist with the planning and carrying out of software releases and new Red Hat product launches by prioritizing and communicating product requirements to guide the development and provide support for advanced sales opportunities
  • Collect and document input from Red Hat OpenShift users, customers, community members, and other stakeholders to understand customer's needs and develop strategy and roadmap for Red Hat offerings by researching competitive solutions to develop competitive positioning and to collect input for new releases
  • Prioritize and document software requirements by writing user stories for new releases of Red Hat offerings
  • Work with the OpenShift Engineering and product teams to manage releases and updates of Red Hat offerings and enable the transition of new Red Hat OpenShift solutions to the market
  • Collaborate with Sales teams to respond to customer inquiries, deliver customer presentations and demos, and support the overall sales process
  • Support sales and marketing activities by creating presentations, blogs, and demos for Red Hat software offerings
  • Review and provide feedback on product documentation, and approve pull requests for Red Hat's product release notes
  • Contribute to the overall company strategy by working closely with engineering, marketing, support, sales, and field teams to ensure the success of Red Hat's offerings


What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in computer science, computer engineering, or related field and 5+ years of experience in the job offered or related role
  • 5+ years of experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
  • 2+ years of experience with: cloud, Containers, Kubernetes, and distributed computer systems; and computer system-based software product management
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time; travel expenses reimbursed by Red Hat, Inc.
