If you are located in Saint Petersburg, FL, San Antonio, TX, or Raleigh, NC , you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Works with matrix partners to translate required capabilities into concrete operational processes and measurement plans
  • Interprets vision and translates into requirements for engineering teams; Validates requirements with marketplace via pilots and beta groups
  • Pro-actively identifies needs/priorities of audience and provides relevant information when sharing insights, including facts and explanation of decision-making criteria
  • Develop an intimate understanding of Clinical Process and products across the enterprise that use our products and capabilities and maintain a list of contact, SMEs and operational leaders that support them
  • Observes User interactions with product; Dialogues with stakeholders on implications and modifications; Accurately represents customer needs with internal stakeholders; and in related plans
  • Gather and analyze user and client feedback on our products (complaints, NPS results, user panels, UAT, etc.)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and Agile Product Managers who can provide insights into business strategies, trends, and opportunities
  • Help to create and communicate a product vision to leadership, clients and users
  • Prioritize and contribute to a backlog of enhancements and new features
  • Gather and publish metrics that assess product usage and health
  • Create and regularly update a 1-2 year product roadmap
  • Drive innovation into our product portfolio in collaboration with business, operational and technology leaders by identifying opportunities to use emerging technologies
  • Support multiple product owners to gather, interpret, and prioritize user requirements into user stories with complete acceptance criteria into an actionable backlog for the team
  • Work with our line of business stakeholders to define/design industry leading consumer-facing digital solutions, and ensure alignment with the Product Manager's business and product plans (e.g., capital/funding commitments, revenue commitments, capabilities, functional impacts, cross functional roles)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, information systems or related field
  • 7+ years of hands-on product ownership or product management experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing 3-5 product owners
  • 2+ year of experience working in an agile or scaled agile development environment
  • 3-5 year of most recent experience working in the healthcare space with a must have understand medical group/Clinical delivery organization business domain, understanding of Provider and Payer(health plans) business operation domain.
  • Familiarity with software development concepts and comfortable reading and interpreting technical documentation and working with developers, solution architects and other technical staff
  • Comfortable facing out to internal and external customers and users and all levels
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agile product owner or agile leader certification
  • Experience working in clinical software product development
  • Experience working with clinical operations
  • Architecture or other technical experience
  • Awareness of emerging technologies impacting the healthcare industry
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a matrix environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and influence others
  • Strategic thinker
  • Excellent presentation skills and experience presenting to medium sized groups'
  • Technology experience: you don't need to code or draw an architecture diagram from scratch but you do need to know, and be able to explain, how your product works from a technology lens

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only : The Salary range for Colorado Connecticut and Nevada residents i s $97,300 to 176,900. Pay is base d on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
