The Role:

At DailyPay, our goal is to bring our customers closer to the decisions we make. We know that user research is the key to making customer conversations easier and more productive. We believe great products are built by deeply understanding our market and our customers — who they are, what motivates them, why they behave the way they do, and what they think of our brand, our products, our services, and the overall market. As the Senior Manager of User Research, our Product and Design team will lean on you to help us define the vision of user research at DailyPay. You will also play a central role in working across the company to share what we learn about our users and customers.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Define the vision for and execute on User Research at DailyPay
  • Implement best practices for research across a number of different sources of insights
  • Plan and execute a wide variety of research activities, using both qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Generate insights from business analytics and user feedback - Develop ideas on new or more efficient ways to answer questions that we have about users
  • Collaborate with designers and product managers to solve problems with data and evidence - Oversee research projects conducted by outside vendors, if applicable
  • Build resources and train UX designers to enable them to execute their own research projects
  • Work across all of DailyPay to drive better research practices
  • Occasional need to work outside of normal business hours as required to support customers may be required

What You Bring to The Team:

  • 5+ years of experience in a user research role creating research strategy, and conducting research.
  • A portfolio of work samples showing how you have executed qualitative and quantitative user research studies, and demonstrating the impact of your research on the customer experience or business strategy.
  • Professional experience in applied product research, preferably supporting a design team for a commercial B2B, B2C, SaaS or mobile product experience.
  • A human-centric approach to research, and the ability to be highly organized, creative and empathetic.
  • Expertise with moderated and unmoderated testing, ethnographic research, group facilitation, survey design, sampling methods and validity in research design.
  • Knowledge of the cognitive principles that impact how people perceive online information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that let you illustrate and share study plans, findings and insights creatively and persuasively.
  • University degree in interaction design, psychology, human factors or a related subject area preferred
  • Occasional need to work outside of normal business hours as required to support customers may be required

Bonus Points for: 

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate with, and persuade, varied audiences and argue for results (both orally and in writing) is a plus.
  • Previous experience researching the technology and FinTech Industry is a strong plus.
