Job Description:

Position Description:

Builds software solutions and oversees development and release implementations using DevOps model. Facilitates large client implementation projects -- project planning, development planning, development, code reviews and sprint retrospective -- using Agile methodologies. Encourages associates to identify and resolve issues, using Continuous Development and Continuous Integration (CI/CD) methodologies. Responsible for capitalizing on new technological trends to reshape business and deliver value for clients, while meeting the demands of customers, regulators, and markets.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Oversees the squad by maintaining a backlog and facilitating Agile ceremonies-- stand ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Develops, creates, and modifies general computer applications software and specialized utility programs.
• Monitors team performance and identifies continuous improvement opportunities to assist the team.
• Defines clear and concise requirements expressed as user stories and translates business needs into technology solutions.
• Supports and enhances the maturity of Scrum practices through techniques, tools, and coaching.
• Manages product development teams using Agile fundamental concepts of adaptive planning, value-drive development, team collaboration, and frequent feedback for continuous improvement.
• Involved in all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analysis, design, development, unit and integration testing, user acceptance testing, packaging, and deployment.
• Executes software development processes, using SQL and relational databases (Oracle and PostgreSQL).
• Consults, supports, and guides leadership to implement Agile culture and behaviors.
• Analyzes patterns and identifies key areas for improvement of processes or results on project teams.
• Anticipates future issues, events, and problems that may impact key initiatives and creates plans to address them while tuning application performance.
• Develops use cases/stories and analysis and design artifacts that ensure requirements and scope are defined.
• Facilitates change reviews, release management, and infrastructure change schedules.
• Designs and develops software solutions with new and innovative approaches.
• Designs scalable software solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience developing recordkeeping applications in the financial, insurance, or healthcare domains.

Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience developing recordkeeping applications in the financial, insurance, or healthcare domains.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") managing large implementation and development projects in financial, insurance, or healthcare domains -- banking or healthcare recordkeeping.
  • DE managing client implementation projects -- facilitating project planning, backlog creation, story estimation, sprint and release planning, daily scrums, sprint reviews, and retrospectives - according to Agile methodologies, using Atlassian JIRA and Confluence (deliver execution plans).
  • DE designing and developing Information Technology (IT) architecture -- frameworks, software/applications, and technology; and facilitating change reviews, release management, and infrastructure change schedules, using Java, Rest Web Services, Sprint Boot Microservices, XML/JSON, Oracle/ PostgreSQL Database, Jenkins, and JIRA Align.
  • DE developing and maintaining multi-tier applications, using Java, Rest Web Services, Sprint Boot Microservices, XML/JSON, Oracle/ PostgreSQL Database, Jenkins, and JIRA Align.
