Senior Manager, Product Management, Security Orchestration Automation and Response
We are seeking an aspiring Product Leader who is excited to own the success of our SOAR offering, InsightConnect, and improve outcomes for users of the Insight platform. They will evolve and mature our product management practices, processes, and grow our Product Management (PM) team to help our customers become more operationally efficient through automation. We want someone who can think big picture, and is unafraid to break silos.
About the Team
The SOAR team is a high energy team focused on creating a suite of platform capabilities that will operationalize the platform for Rapid7 customers. SOAR capabilities connect people to process and technology to drive efficiency and reduce costs for customers. It enables users to integrate their technology stack, automate their processes to solve real world problems, and ultimately collaborate around their security work. The SOAR team resides under the Platform organization where we think about singular, reusable experiences that can impact all Rapid7 users, and can tell a better-together story of a security operations platform that is highly integrated, provides great insights, and has your back.
About the Role
As Senior Manager of Product Management, you will work closely with customers, sales, marketing, and engineering teams to obtain market insights directly or through customer-facing teams and you will own the product management for the entire SOAR offering..
In this role, you will:

• Guide and shape the vision, strategy, experience, and value realization of SOAR on the Rapid7 Platform.
• Be a natural storyteller. Humans communicate in stories. You will take our vision, strategy, design, engineering and delivery capabilities and weave them into compelling, durable narratives that inspire our teams to achieve success.
• Lead cross-team collaboration for product planning, prioritization, development, launch, and on-going enhancements that balance responsiveness to customer needs with strategic market impact.
• Encourage data driven product decisions leveraging utilization metrics, user feedback, and customer partnership
• Work with product leadership, commercialization leadership, and product marketing to develop content, messaging, and competitive positioning based on solid value propositions and real world use cases driving sales enablement and existing customer growth.
• Work the forge: Product leaders aren't born; rather, they are made. You will temper and shape the next ring of leadership.

The skills you'll bring include:

• 7+ years of experience in product leadership: Recognizing patterns, trends and devising strategies for B2B industries demands context over time. Leadership roles in PM, Engineering, Program Management, Experience design are all relevant
• 5+ years in roles responsible for team growth: You will be a manager, hands-on contributor, and coach for a multi-disciplinary team including Product Managers and Customer Support Advisors.
• Data fluency: You understand how data differentiates belief from fact. You understand the ins and outs of product telemetry as an aid to value realization, design choices, and decision support. Humans may communicate with stories, but rationally invest with data.
• Own customer problems: Develop, maintain, demonstrate a solid understanding of Security Operations and the problem of unmet customer needs.
• Team-minded leadership: Help the team deliver capabilities that satisfy customer needs. You'll act as an internal and external advocate & spokesperson, but also lend a helping hand when needed. You might be the smartest person in the room but have no need to prove it.
• Be intentional: We value transparency, visibility, and integrity in all interactions. You will be rigorous in articulating, sharing, and helping others understand customer needs and the way we solve problems.
