As the Senior Manager of Product Management, you will be responsible for managing the Product Application team and its projects, working closely with business leaders and users to ensure product applications enhance services and drive efficiencies. What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Build the product vision and manage the entire product lifecycle from strategic planning to go-to-market rollouts; gather feedback from end users on the products and how to improve them, closing any potential operational gaps
  • Act as the voice of the customer and ensure a customer-centric approach to product development; collaborate with business stakeholders, customers, carriers and third parties to understand underserved opportunities
  • Lead strategic discussions and ideation sessions with business leaders to form productive and trusting relationships
  • Able to thrive in uncertainty and comfortable with a high degree of ownership and bias for action; set adoption targets and continuously analyze data to assess the success and inform product decisions
  • Manage and mentor team members by working with individuals on maximizing their potential within the organization; develop performance metrics, accountability, and career plans
  • Ensure the use of product management best practices in the development and delivery of digital solutions


What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 5 years of product management experience
  • Experience managing a Product Management team
  • Mastery of key product management concepts, including the thorough technical understanding of software development lifecycle
  • A proven track record of building and launching innovative products through a customer-centric, iterative approach
  • Ability to make decisions quickly in a fast-paced work environment
  • Experience building and managing cross-functional teams


It'd be great if you also have:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or Information Systems
  • 7 years of product management experience
  • Scrum Master; programming experience
  • Transportation/logistics experience
  • Experience working on multiple products at once
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized and thorough information appropriate for intended audience
  • Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment
