HOW YOU’LL HELP EVERYONE PET PARENT LIKE A PRO

GoodFriend is the digital destination for pet parents to access professional services for all their pet’s needs. We are creating a new category in pet services, transforming the way that pet parents receive and pet care professionals deliver expert services. Our product provides pet care professionals with much-needed digital capabilities empowering them to focus on the reason they got into pet care in the first place: loving and taking care of pets. Our business is an operating company of Kinship, which is a tech division of Mars Petcare.

As the Senior Product Manager - Platform, you will lead a pod of 3-5 engineers as well as niche contractors in the support of developing the GoodFriend platform. You will own the product roadmap for our grooming, boarding, and other B2B businesses in addition to the overall health of the platform. This role works very closely with business development and engineering and will focus on growing out new streams of revenue for the business.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Own our B2B product strategy and feature roadmap to deliver on the needs of a diverse array of user types
• Build a deep understanding of veterinary, grooming, and other B2B pet care services user needs
• Collaborate with engineering and business development to evolve the GoodFriend platform to accommodate new use cases and revenue streams.
• Drive execution against plan, anticipating risk, and lead discussion via frequent, clear communication, both internally and with partners
• Lead through influence. Build teamwork through trusted relationships. Motivate a group of committed, smart people to do the best work of their careers
• Contribute to the strategic vision for GoodFriend, Kinship, and Mars Petcare more broadly

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• 5+ years of Product Management experience working on revenue-generating, technical products
• A proven track record of product launches where you have taken a product from concept to launch, driving product vision, defining go-to-market strategy, creating product roadmaps, driving UX decisions, and steering technical implementation discussions
• Deep understanding of software development for B2B products
• Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade offs, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
• High attention to detail including precise and effective stakeholder communication, and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Strong people skills and experience positively influencing team cultures
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
• Ability to think strategically while being willing to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
