Position Overview

The Novelis Global Procurement team is seeking a Sr. Manager, Procure-to-Pay (Coupa) Product Owner. This position is out of the Atlanta Corporate Headquarters and will report to the Director of Procurement Systems. This critical role will be responsible for the development and execution of a global strategy to ensure the successful deployment of the Coupa Source to Pay system. This deployment is the foundational strategy for unifying our 23 distinct ERP instances. The successful candidate will work in close integration with Finance, IT and KPMG - to jointly lead the deployment of Coupa in North America and Europe across both metals and non-metals. Following the successful implementation, the Coupa product owner will coordinate the activities of the internal product team and evaluate the expansion of Coupa into Asia and South America. This position serves as the functional expert ensuring effectiveness of enterprise-wide procurement systems.
Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Systems Strategy: Support the vision and strategy developed by the Director of Systems to increase efficiencies through process automation and enable the implementation of standardized service delivery models.
  • Implement P2P Platform Solution
    • Collaborate with IT to ensure strategic alignment and sufficient budget/funding
    • Identify and evaluate global P2P Platform solutions that can integrate with our global ERP system landscape
    • Select solution provider, build business case and seek project approval to secure funding
    • Identify resources and establish project team
    • Establish Executive Steering Committee and provide regular updates and escalate issues
    • Lead implementation of the new P2P Platform and execute on time and on budget
    • Establish effective Change Management program, including communication and training
    • Establish and lead sustainable support organization within the function
    • Develop and refine value roadmaps, measurable success criteria and monitor progress towards agreed success goals
    • Identify next level value creation opportunities
  • Stabilize and Enhance Coupa
    • Following the successful deployment of phases 1A - 1C (NNA SAP, NNA Metals and Aleris, Europe), stabilize the product and coordinate any critical patches
    • Review and prioritize system enhancements and work with IT on a structured roll out plan
  • Coupa Expansion
    • Lead the evaluation for expanding the usage of Coupa in Asia and South America
    • If applicable, will prepare the ERFA and with finance and IT, shepherd it through the approval process.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7 years of experience in a strategic procurement role with evidence of increases in scope and level of responsibility
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Experience with a global organization.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong background in Procurement processes, technology and automation capabilities.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in project management skills and execution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to influence others.
  • The ability to travel globally, as required.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or other advanced degree
  • 3 years' experience in Procurement Excellence or Transformation.
  • Coupa Certification or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification would be helpful, but not required.
  • Experience with ERP system upgrades.
  • Experience in process development, and implementation of Procurement specific technology.
  • Experience in leading large scale project teams.
  • Experience in leading complex Change Management programs.
  • Live in the metro-Atlanta area.


Travel:

  • About 25%, including some global travel, as needed.
