Job Description
This role will play a pivotal part in the creation of the Accessibility product roadmap and ensure our customers (and employees) needs are prioritized. As the Sr. Manager of Accessibility, this role will report to the Director of Accessibility and ensure all applicable ServiceNow Products continue to improve overall levels of compliance and usability. This role will partner with multiple teams throughout the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) to ensure Accessibility becomes a standard part of the overall process and identify the most critical areas/features that should be prioritized for future releases.
It's imperative that this role ensures Accessibility is a consideration for all new functionality/features and we adhere to compliance as a standard practice. This role will need to embed the mindset that Accessibility as a Product will always be a standard part of the entire development process. This role will work with all applicable teams to share best practices including requirements generation, design reviews, knowledge sharing and accessibility validations are embedded throughout the development journey to ensure we optimize the customer experience for all adaptive users. This role will instill specific validations and checkpoints to clearly identify any potential gaps/risks to overall compliance. The role will also look at how ServiceNow can look towards the future experience of the adaptive user and propose new ideas/methodologies to ensure we are forward thinking and become recognized as a Leader in Accessibility.
This role will be a champion for Accessibility across ServiceNow and continue to push for the highest Accessibility standards possible.
What you get to do in this Role:
- Partner with the respective BU leaders to define the accessibility priorities for upcoming releases and ensure they align with our overall roadmap
- Ensure all new features/functionality is consistent with the broader needs of our adaptive users
- Collaborate with multiple teams across ServiceNow to ensure specific validations and standards are met
- Create short-term and long-term roadmaps (3-5 years) for your specific areas of ownership and ensure they align with the broader Accessibility roadmap
- Ensure Accessibility improvements (and fixes) are a standard part of all future releases
- Partner with our Accessibility leader of customer engagement to align with our customers and partners and build a new vision for Accessibility
- Be a pivotal driver for overall Awareness of Accessibility
- Work with multiple teams on the optimal approach to track and measure success
- Become a champion for Accessibility across ServiceNow and increase overall awareness
- Provide critical insights and up-to-date status to our executive team (including our CTO and CISO) so they can make informed decisions on program prioritization and resource allocations
- Provide direction to employees so they can deliver business outcomes and achieve their career growth objectives
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience that includes Product and/or Technical Program Management
- Experience with working on Accessibility Initiatives in prior role/s
- Ability to manage products that have a cross-functional impact
- Ability to create strong and collaborative relationships with multiple team members across an organization
- History of managing highly impactful initiatives in addition to prioritizing and driving specific deliverables
- Having directly worked on Accessibility Initiatives in prior role/s
- Experience working on and a passion to drive Accessibility forward
- Ability to thrive in a rapid growth, fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills at all levels of an organization and across all functions
- Accessibility Certification, PMP, Six Sigma and/or Agile certifications are a plus
