Our Opportunity:

Chewy is hiring a Senior Director, Product Management to lead our Paid Marketing tech team. Marketing has scaled to over $500MM of annual spend and is a big input to our 20MM+ Active customers.  We are seeking an executive biz-tech leader who excels from strategy to tactical implementation of paid marketing technology, can lead a high bar team of technical resources, and is passionate about solving complex problems. This leader should have depth and breadth to lead three disciplines – Product, Engineering, and Data Science. As a single threaded owner you will have end to end ownership of the product road map to scale spend across multiple marketing channels, hire a “2-pizza” team from scratch, and own several important KPI’s. This role is a high-profile position that is well suited to pioneering leader who can prioritize and deliver results.

With high business growth every year, you will lead the team to scale and develop solutions that accelerate achieving marketing plans. This leader will have shared financial accountability due to high impact on Chewy’s P&L. You will be involved in high-impact decisions and initiatives undertaken by the company, giving you a front row seat to shape Chewy’s growth. We are seeking an inspiring people leader, a strong cross-functional collaborator, an outstanding communicator, and a nimble, strategic thinker. A willingness to roll up your sleeves and a start-up mentality is a must.

What You’ll Do:

  • Owning development and communicating the long-term vision and goals that drive strategies for a portfolio of marketing products
  • Make several build/buy decisions with an eye to cost, time to market, and short / long term objectives
  • Leading cross-functional teams of product managers, engineers, and analysts while playing a key role in organizing and communicating their work across the organization
  • Setting product strategy, prioritizing features, and coordinating feature releases and internal/external communications
  • Communicating product strategy and status to key stakeholders across Chewy

What You’ll Need:

  • 10+ years of Product Experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience recruiting, building, and leading multifunctional teams – PM and SDE’s
  • Proven record in attracting, developing, and motivating the talent needed for current and future business needs. Demonstration of maintaining high performance expectations and leading teams to achieve results in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience building and scaling within digital marketing verticals. Understand the basics of digital marketing
  • A history of owning, developing, and communicating long-term vision and goals that drive strategies for a portfolio of products
  • Expertise in managing in house development (enterprises tools, customer facing features)
  • Familiarity with 3rd party vendors (vendor selection, system deployment, supporting data engineering, etc.)
  • Position may require travel
