Who you are

As a Senior Director of Engineering, you will report into the SVP, Technology & Innovation and execute on our advisor / client product platform and our data platform by providing decisive leadership to a diverse team of experts who produce tangible business value. You have experience managing competing priorities to ensure efforts are on track and within budget. As a knowledge leader you are comfortable consulting with both technical and non-technical teams to drive solutions for complex problems. In your career you have built a reputation for conducting digital transformations with measurable business results.

What you bring

• 5+ years of experience leading high-functioning Agile engineering teams.
• 10+ years building and designing enterprise level software solutions.
• Ability to lead a team in best practices of coding, testing, and Agile software delivery.
• Leads strategic visioning and ultimate arbiter of architectural direction for engineering platforms and roadmaps

• Comfortable and confident in consulting with and influencing business leaders, vendors, and customers.
• Demonstrated success in coaching and building high-performing teams.
• Solid history of building and maintaining partnerships with diverse teams and executive sponsors.
• A wide portfolio of knowledge on modern technologies and solutions.
• Confidence in estimating level of effort and resource capacity planning.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience and understanding of Cloud architectures and the business benefits and trade-offs in commercial-grade platform development on various computing models.

Bonus skills and experience

• Experience in commercial real estate.
• Exposure to machine learning and other data science disciplines.

• Utilize external partners to augment the team and provide leading edge solutions.

• Develop and hold the team accountable to best practices and standards.
• Plan and adhere to budgets.

Travel

This position requires minimal overnight travel and is primarily within the US and Canada.
