Job Description

  • Honeywell is focused on growing the Urban Aerial Mobility ("UAM") and Unmanned Aerial Systems ("UAS") market in a sustainable and safe manner at a massive scale. In this role, you'll be responsible - together with product management and engineering teams - for building a set of hardware and software offerings to enable growth across UAS and UAM markets.
  • You'll work closely with the product management team to understand customer needs and product roadmaps and translate the roadmap into manageable product backlog.
  • You will lead multiple Scrum teams to deliver products and services on time.
  • Work cross functionally across sales, internal/external customers, analysts, marketing, engineering and executive leadership to execute the strategy.


Key Responsibilities

Product Development:

  • Lead multiple Scrum teams as the Product Owner. Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product. Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on.
  • Establish the priorities for engineering teams to build and ship products that serve the needs of our customers and deliver growth to the business.
  • Collaborate with Agile development teams on sprint definition, backlog prioritization, development and release of MVPs.
  • Assess value, develop use cases, and prioritize stories and epics to ensure work focusses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
  • Develop close relationships with program managers and engineers to drive the development and certification of our products, to be delivered on time and on budget.


Champion Scrum methodology:

  • Increase the overall Agile maturity and performance of teams.
  • Practice and encourage Agile mindset and behaviors. Support Agile teams that have various levels of agile maturity and actively work to upskill those teams in agile practices to improve on first time quality and productivity


Product launches:

  • Plan and implement the strategy for new product launches, collaborating with sales, product management, customer support, marketing communications and others to ensure well-coordinated execution and measure success.


Public Speaking:

  • Deliver compelling presentations to small & large groups about our products and offerings.


YOUMUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree
  • In depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Methodology
  • Previous working experience as a Product Owner for two years
  • Working knowledge of avionics and/or strong understanding of the UAS and UAM market
  • Due to export laws, must be US citizen, permanent resident, or have protected status


WEVALUE

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics
  • Pilot license
  • Proven track record in the product management process. We value direct experience (experiencing directing others to do the work does not qualify under this section).
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel and developing complex financial and marketing models
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with impeccable grammar and spelling
  • Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to develop professional-looking PowerPoint slides
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in each of the responsibilities identified above
  • Self-starter - type of individual who can start and execute without being asked by others. Able to identify and implement solutions despite high degrees of ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Quick learner and must be able to respond to a variety of inquiries with tight deadlines
  • Ability to easily interact with a demanding group of sales and marketing team members, appropriately juggling requests from different individuals
