Product Owner
Job Description
As a Product Owner, you will define and prioritize user stories within an agile team's backlog to streamline execution and quality of product development. Some of your responsibilities will include creating and prioritizing epics and user stories for product development; developing story and feature acceptance criteria; reviewing and accepting backlog items as ready; performing functional testing, including user acceptance and exploratory testing; and evaluating risks and performing hazard analysis for development activities. You may also be expected to track product functionality and performance, as required by regulatory standards, to ensure that it meets market needs; facilitate key agile ceremonies, such as the sprint review; and manage ongoing communications between product and scrum teams. Working Environment
Hybrid or Remote
This position offers a Hybrid or Remote working environment. Meaning if you live within a metro area of a Cerner office, you will split working time between a Cerner office and remote. If you are not within a metro area of a Cerner office, you can live and work in your current geographical location and work primarily remote. #LI-Hybrid #Remote
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- At least 6 years of total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
- At least 1 year product design, product testing, healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting and/or HCIT solution work experience
- At least 5 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business, Health Care or related field, or equivalent, relevant work experience
- At least 2 years of health care information technology (HCIT) work experience
Expectations
- Must currently reside in, or be willing to relocate to, Kansas City, MO
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
