The Cybersecurity organization within Motorola Solutions is responsible for policy, oversight and support of secure development of Motorola Solutions Products and Services globally as well as creating and delivering security servicers for our customers. We support the creation of mission critical communications (Land Mobile Radio and LTE solutions), 911 systems as well as managed and support services around the world where those solutions are used in real world operations daily.
The Mission of the Cyber Threat Fusion Center is to collect, analyze, and make actionable the information needed by the Public Safety Community to protect their mission against cybersecurity threats. The Cyber Threat Fusion Center provides services directly to the Public Safety Community and also integrates with Motorola Solutions service and product teams to ensure what we create for our customers are designed to protect the Public Safety mission.
Job Description
The Product Owner will be responsible for the strategy, roadmap, feature definition and successful delivery scope, which establishes the Cyber Threat Fusion Center as an information sharing, collaboration, and cybersecurity hub that improves Members’ cybersecurity posture, defense, and resilience against ever evolving cyber threats to Public Safety networks and devices.
The Product Owner analyzes market and competitive conditions and lays out a product vision that is differentiated and delivers unique value based on Customer/Member demands. This role will span a wide array of activities from strategic to tactical, and it provides cross-functional leadership- bridging gaps across different functions including development, operations, sales, marketing, and support.
This will include the center’s mission performance, internal and external customer satisfaction, and day-to-day management to help the Public Safety community effectively manage cyber risks to their mission at the local, state, and national levels.

Synthesize strategic planning guidance and direction into an executable roadmap
End-to-end ownership of the product definition, planning, delivery, and sunset of the Cyber Threat Fusion Center portfolio
Synthesize insights from user research, Customer/Member meetings, usage data, sales feedback, and competitive analysis to prioritize improvements and new feature concepts
Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses
Assess market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products
Lead product design, development, and release processes for assigned products and maintain the product development road map
Create and execute product use cases that align with portfolio strategy, create Customer/Member value, and exceptional user experiences
Coordinate the collection, description, analysis, and prioritization of requests for new product functionality from Customers/Members and internal stakeholders
Manage the product throughout the Product Life Cycle, gathering and prioritizing product and Customer/Member requirements, defining the product vision, and closely working with engineering to deliver winning products
Communicate vision and differential to Customers/Members in a compelling way
Work with internal teams, including development, operations, sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and Customer/Member satisfaction goals are met
The Product Owner's job also includes ensuring product and marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals
Partner with marketing to help craft strong product messaging about value and differentiation for Customers/Members and competitive positioning
Assist marketing, sales, and support teams by developing and maintaining various technical marketing collateral, including application notes, FAQs, product notes, user guides, field training presentations, and demos
Determine product pricing by utilizing market research data, reviewing production and sales costs, anticipating volume, costing special and customized orders
Additional Qualified Skills:
Experience translating operational and strategic guidance into requirements for technical audiences including developers and engineers
Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done
Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience implementing integrated product offerings and solutions
Outcome driven with the ability to define concrete metrics to measure the success of product initiatives
This person must possess the ability to rapidly drive product development based upon product gaps identified through cross-functional team and/or Customer/Member feedback
Relevant experience in cybersecurity processes, frameworks, regulations, and a familiarity with cyber threat intelligence would be a plus
Relevant experience within an information sharing and analysis center (ISAC) would be a plus
Cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM) would be a plus
Basic Requirements
Must have 5+ years of Product Owner or similar experience
2+ years of experience in cybersecurity
At least a Bachelor’s Degree
