Department OverviewMotorola’s Software Enterprise organization is a fast-paced organization at the front line of driving growth throughout Motorola Solutions. The State Link and IBR team is building public safety solutions that bring the capabilities of querying state and federal databases and submitting crime statistics to the state and federal agencies.
Job Description
The Product Owner of Flex Sate Link and IBR is responsible for serving as the agile product owner for assigned feature teams across multiple product lines.
This position is responsible for establishing best practice and standards for requirements elicitation, artifact documentation, and filling the agile role of product owner at the team level. The PO will be responsible for managing prioritization of the suite backlog at the feature and user story level.
Responsibilities
Work closely with senior product management to understand suite level initiatives and epics.
Persuade and influence others through strong communication
Directly impact the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice and counsel to Product Management leadership
Demonstrate a high level of subject matter expertise in all functional areas to help maintain a system-level view during the decision making process
Review epics, features, and user stories from analysts and product teams to ensure quality and completeness
Actively engage in sprint planning and sprint review ceremonies
Ensure backlog and goals for each team are maintained and current
Own backlog prioritization for assigned SCRUM teams
Practice knowledge transfer and foster change management as the organization changes and new skills are required

2+ years experience in product ownership or agile engineering

Experience in Law Enforcement / Public Safety software is a plus
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of related experience
- This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.
