LeaseQuery is seeking a Product Owner to join our growing team. If you are a problem solver, collaborator, and product builder who would like to be a part of our Product team helping to continue our growth, and maintain our great reviews on G2 & Capterra then this position might be for you. The Product Owner plays a key role in capturing the business, functional, and technical requirements necessary to implement new products or features within the LeaseQuery product suite.

What you will be doing:

  • Works with product managers to understand the product vision and review documented features
  • Responsible for breaking prioritized features down into buildable user stories
  • Attends all scrum team ceremonies and leads team refinements. 
  • Manages the team backlog by prioritizing relevant stories and accommodating urgent sprint changes 
  • Responsible for notifying stakeholders of demo content and requesting stakeholder attendance at demos
  • Process customer service escalations and work with other product owners and engineering to route them to the appropriate development resource
  • Serves as the voice of the product at the team level
  • Manages all UAT testing of new features and enhancements in each product iteration
  • Consults with PM on releasable stories, provides final verification for go/nogo on release content related to the product
  • Constantly grooms pending backlog items to maintain an available workload for the team
  • Partner with scrum master to remove informational and prioritization impediments for the team
  • Collaborates with UX to ensure design is properly detailed in the stories and executed appropriately during the sprint. 

What skills and experience we need you to have:

  • 2+ Years in a Product Owner role as part of a scrum team
  • CSPO or SAFe PO/PM preferred 
  • Accounting or financial services experience a plus
  • Key Skills:
  • Writing – communicate information effectively to project stakeholders, internal customers, and technical groups. Also shown in clear verbal communications as well. 
  • Interviewing – talk with individuals and groups about their needs and ask the right questions to surface essential requirements information.
  • Analytical ability – critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, translate up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements.
  • Interpersonal – interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts to capture requirements and resolve conflicts among project stakeholders.
  • Facilitation – lead requirements elicitation and review meetings.
  • Time Management – ability to prioritize your work and successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
