Job Description
NBCUniversal's Enterprise Product Team builds products that provide essential capabilities to organizations throughout NBCUniversal. The team leverages deep relationships with our business engagement and engineering counterparts to build cohesive, end to end solutions for their clients or users. The product portfolio is aligned around critical NBCU functions such as Content/Title Management, Data & Analytics, Scheduling & Distribution, and Content Sales.
As a part of the Product team, you will be responsible for several products in Content Sales and Finance. You will be in constant communications with clients on anything product related, including development progress, deliverables, and timelines. You will lead grooming sessions, execute product demos, and walk throughs. You are an expert in your area's product features, capabilities and functionality. You will be a consultant on new multi-product initiatives or programs. You will be a mentor to product specialists.
Essential Responsibilities
- Create and manage a product backlog for Film and TV studios ecosystem of products, communicate roadmap to at all levels of leadership, conduct user training, perform system demos, and create SOPs related to process changes
- Engage across functions with multiple stakeholders, translate requirements into well documented product features
- Lead grooming sessions to maintain a consistently up-to-date backlog of clearly defined features/stories
- Fully document product features and capabilities in JIRA, ensuring all stories have acceptance criteria that is clear and can be measured
- Collaborate across teams and with architecture and solutions leaders, to identify the best technical solution for a feature or capability that meets the needs of the clients
- Manage the deployment and communication around product releases
Qualifications
- Experience in managing the end-to-end life cycle of a product
- Bachelor's degree in Software Development, Product Management, or equivalent experience required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a role demonstrating strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a role exhibiting excellent written and oral communications, effective interpersonal skills, project management, and strong formal presentation abilities
- Expertise in the SDLC process, with a focus on scoping, iteration planning, user story and acceptance criteria writing, rollout management
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with Salesforce products in an admin capacity, certifications preferred
- Minimum of 1 year product management experience in media, gathering client requirements, writing product and/or technical specifications, working with development teams, and managing product roadmaps as well as launches
- Minimum of 2 years of direct client engagement experience
- Experience in Television/Broadcast, Media, Technology, or related field
- Experience with Agile methodology
- Experience with using Jira or a similar system to track and maintain feature requirements and development progress
- Natural problem solver, who is adaptable in a fast-paced environment and is highly collaborative
- Ability to manage through competing/conflicting requests and obtain consensus
