Position Overview

The Product Owner, SharePoint is responsible for product planning and at times technical project/task execution for products in the team's portfolio. The Product Owner is the voice of the customer, representing internal stakeholders and the Product Manager while driving prioritization of their backlog. The Product Owner will solve business problems by analyzing business needs, understanding requirements, investigating potential solutions, ensuring the successful launch of new products/features, and managing products throughout their entire lifecycle. The ideal individual candidate will be able to facilitate discussions and lead the execution of tasks that help the organization provide best in class solutions supported by a solid foundation of governance and strategy.

Location

This position is based out of our Omaha, NE I Street Office, with a hybrid schedule that includes an option of working from home part of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Be a subject matter expert (SME) regarding the business processes and the capabilities/limitations of SharePoint Online and OneDrive.
  • Provide knowledge transfer to the appropriate technical support groups.
  • Display first-rate customer service abilities and always be willing to help with a positive attitude.
  • Work with the Product Manager to develop a long-term strategy for assigned products, inclusive of cost, technology, and the full lifecycle roadmap.
  • Partner with and gain buy-in from stakeholders and users to create cohesion and clear communication.
  • Participate in product and project meetings, serving as the voice of stakeholders and users.
  • Communicate the business value of features and deliverables to the team.
  • Lead and oversee the creation of end-user training material and marketing-type communications for and about the product .
  • Manage ideation process and idea collection for assigned.
  • Work with the Product Manager to define product roadmaps, defining the vision, direction, and opportunities for product growth and enhancements.
  • Work with the Product Manager, Stakeholders, and Business Analysts to translate product ideas into requirements and prioritize features and user stories.
  • Demonstrate passion regarding quality, value, and customer experience from the use of technology products.
  • Manage the backlog for assigned products. Prioritize the release of new features with corresponding justifications.


Qualifications

  • 1-3 years' experience in an Information Technology or related role
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new products and systems to support business processes
  • Demonstrated success at defining business needs conducting vendor analysis and launching successful products.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and have critical conversations with customers and stakeholders. regarding business value and customer experience.
  • Understanding of and experience with the software development life cycle.
  • Understanding of the Agile Framework and software development practices.
  • Experience with soliciting requirements and product feedback from stakeholders and user groups.
  • Recognize, assess, and mitigate risks to committed deliverables and timelines.
  • Clearly communicate progress and risk to all levels of leadership.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology discipline.
  • Advanced/Super User Experience in use of the M365 Platform - SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, etc
  • Demonstrated experience in Product Management in a technology setting.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
  • Microsoft 365 certifications.
