Job Description
Who You Are:
You’re an innovator; you share our common interest in improving and scaling our existing product and features. You enjoy collaborating with a team and have interest in learning how to build products iteratively with Agile methodologies. Your excellent communication skills are key when working closely with cross-functional team(s) that include Product, Engineering, and Design. We are quality-driven and you must be too. You enjoy breaking down challenges, simplifying problems, and coming up with solutions. You understand and are passionate about technology.
How You’ll Contribute:
Start the day collaborating with your team during daily standups to discuss work in progress and remove any roadblocks
Write user stories and detailed requirements during regular grooming sessions with your team
Manage the product backlog related to development including new product features and enhancements to existing product components based on customer needs and product vision
Assist with product rollout tasks for major and minor release deployments
Establish internal templates and formalize processes related to development, testing, and deployment
Work closely with the Senior Product Manager to ensure that your team is prioritizing the right items and continually delivering value to its customers
Participate in market discovery and get feedback directly from active users and potential users to validate new concepts
Meet regularly with other Product Managers and Product Owners to keep the lines of communication flowing and ensure teams are working on the right items to advance the Product Vision
Participate in Solution Support meetings with stakeholders from all departments at Label Insight to ensure that our product solutions are meeting the needs of our customers
Host a company-wide Product Demo for you and your team to share progress and get feedback on new features before they’re released to customers
Qualifications
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Located in Chicago, IL or St Louis, MO
Strong organizational, writing and presentation skills
Ability to describe complex concepts with varying amounts of detail to different audiences
Strong communication skills; ability to speak to, as well as influence, engineers, project managers, sales counterparts, corporate leadership, partners, and customers
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to rapidly develop and cultivate relationships with peers, partners, and key influencers
Interest in working with Agile teams
Experience working in CPG/Retail Insights, E-Commerce Search and Content, BI / Analytics, and Integrations desired
Technical background / understanding of software development technologies and methodologies is a big plus
Not afraid to ask questions
