This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.
This position may be located in Moline, IL; Urbandale, IA per the hiring manager's discretion. This may be dependent on the successful candidate's background, experience, and proficiency.
Your Responsibilities
As a Product Owner for the Embedded Tools Team within ISG Tech Stack, Embedded Infrastructure located in one of the following locations including Cary NC, Urbandale IA, Moline IL, you will take on the role of technical lead for developing and modernizing build tools that interface with our John Deere Embedded Operating System. These tools work to create application-level abstraction as well as build automation to create a better user experience for our embedded developers.
  • Prioritize backlog based on stakeholder needs, team availability, and outstanding technical debt
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prioritize the Embedded Tool's backlog and create a clear vision
  • Provide the team with clear information and regular reporting on product scope, schedule, and planning
  • Adapt to incoming changes to meet stakeholder needs

What Skills You Need
  • Experience in software product delivery using agile software development processes
  • Demonstrated effectiveness at technical leadership
  • Demonstrated experience in roles that required excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong understanding of the embedded software development workflow fr om requirements to machine validation(preferably 5+ years)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills (English )

What Makes You Stand Out
  • Experience with C#, Linux, and/or DevOps practices and tools
  • Demonstrated experience with object-oriented software design
  • Advanced degree in an engineering discipline or computer science
  • Certifications in Agile Software principles.

Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or equivalent experience
